"And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations." ~ Genesis 48:19

All who are religiously familiar with Covenant of Abraham and its evolution down through Isaac, Jacob and thence through Joseph to Ephraim and Manasseh and that blessing given by Jacob/Israel upon the heads of the sons of Joseph in Genesis 48; and are futher well aquainted with the history of the world cannot help but see the multitude of the nations of the earth being fulfilled in Great Britain, as the Sun Never Set upon the British Empire. These nations cover the earth and their influence continues to spread with today the United States of America leading at its head. Countless articles, books and essays have been written expelling these facts of the matter. Yet all seemingly according to their own very unique perspects and thus distorted in many directions. Yet based in the truth, much truth can be seen in them especially when viewed through the lens of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and the latter day revelations recieved there with.

The traditional histories of the western would speak to it. The Galic, Celts, Kelts, Cymry/Cymru; the trations of the Scots, Irish, Welsh, Anglos and Saxons; even the royal traditional histories of the houses of England do all address it. And the traditional genealogies further appear to confirm it at well. Search the internet upon the topic of Ephraim, Manasseh, Joseph, Judah and Britain and America and the pages will appear from all their variously further contrived perspectives. What is true or legend, tradition or fulfillment of prophecy blend in together to form a montage of 'proof' that such is in fact the case, if not true in all of its reported asspects, at least undenyably present and believable in the general jest of the whole of the matter.

Take for example the traditions, histories, genealogies and various perspectives surrounding the royal house(s) of Great Britain. Even the Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom breaths of it. In particular the Scottish Goverment verson of the Royal Coat of Arms which places the Unicorn upon the left or west and the Lion upon the right or east of the coat is closely relative to their relative placements about the Camp of Israel, with Ephraim upon the west and Judah upon the east. Of course the mythical Unicorn is but the result of a matter of English translation which makes of the Hebrew 'Reem' , auroch or Wild Ox the 13^th century devised word of Unicorn provided for want of not knowing what type of animal a 'Reem' was upon the part of the translators. Certainly a rampant white stallion with one golden horn, a unicorn, is much more artistically pleasing than even a Minoan type aurochs raging bull. But still it is the same, the unicorn being the symbolic representation of the tribe of Ephraim is present as well as the well known symbolic representation of the Lion of Judah. That the royal house of Great Britain has become 'married' in such joint ancestry as so depicted by the royal coat of arms can be in part established in the traditional genealogies of such where some lines even reach back to not only Judah but thence to Adam. And from a very religious perspective, the monarchy and crown of England is deamed to be holder in trust of such as the Throne of David until that day and time as Christ does come to claim it. And so also the British Royal head of state sets as symbolic head of the Church of England. A joint position of church and state in imagery if not actually in fact. The the legenday claim of such as being of Ephraim and Judah does bear sway in revealed gospel truth and also in parallel with the Messiah's own ancestry as so presented in this current text.

It is somewhat ironically uncanny that such as the British Coat of Arms is so reflective of the Doctrine and Covenant's inline ancestry of the 'rod', who is a servant partly a descendant of Jesse as well as of Ephraim, or of the house of Joseph (D&C 113:3-4) and the 'root of Jesse', who is a descendant of Jesse, as well as of Joseph (D&C 113:5-6). Like Christ, like those of the Royal House of Britain, like those of the latter day servants, so is the relationship of joint ancestry, of Joseph and Judah. And so it is also as so stated by the elders and all the people in the gate concerning Ruth, 'We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman [Ruth] that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem: (Ruth 4:11).
