129. Niether in this Mountian Nor in Jeursalem

The argument was between those of Judah and those of Ephraim. 'Where was the proper place of worshipping Jehovah?' The Jewish tradition has held that Abraham's sacrifice of Isaac was upon the hill at Jerusalem. Yet Jerusalem has also been marked as Salem, the city of Melchizedek. Our own LDS Bible dictionary suggest that the place of Abraham's attempted sacrifice of Isaac was Moriah - The land of, the district where was found the mountain on which Isaac was offered in sacrifice (Gen. 22:2); problably the same district as that in which was the "plain (or oak) of Moreh." Now the plain of Moreh was associated with Sichem or Shechem which was included in the territory of Ephraim (Gen. 12:6 & LDS Bible Dictionary under 'Shechem'). Shechem was/is the most ancient of the sacred towns of Palestine. It is situated in a beautiful plain among the moutains of Ephraim, close to the two holy mounts, Ebal and Gerizim. Abraham offered sacrifice here as it was here that Abraham first arrived and camped in the land. Jacob bought land here which would been given to Joseph/Ehpraim. Joshua addressed the people here (Josh. 24:1-26), the bones of Joseph were buried here, and it is/was the land region where the tabernacle was first set up before it was moved to Shiloh, also in Ephraim, which was way before David moved it to Jerusalem.

Now for Jesus to tell the Samaritan woman at the well that 'neither in this mountian nor in Jerusalem, would worship of the Lord be, it would seem as an anouncement that neither at the holy site of Ephraim nor at the holy site of Judah but somewhere else would his temple and land of worship be. Thus enter the alternative of the latter days, not the site of Joshua's grand council meeting, nor in Jerusalem, but at the site of Adam's grand council would the worship of God occur. And that is in the land of Ephraim/Joseph here in America/USA today. And this is, as we are taught, where that great meeting(s) of the Millennial Day will take place, where a city, a New Jerusalem would be built and here the house or temple of God would be built. And this all ties back to Ephraim's prominate role of leadership, with Christ at the head of the fullness of times latter day work and glory. Jesus then being the recognized head of Ephraim, Joseph, Israel and the fulfillment of the covenant of Abraham or even the everlasting covenant.

It does seem to an extent that this discussion does take on an air or circlar presentation, but so it is by nature that all of its various points do so seeming well tie into each other and/or one another that one can not speak of one in particular without raising issue or reference back to the the other such elements which are so tightly relatvent together. The point here being that Jesus stated to the women the position that neither in the Palistinian land of Ephraim or the Palstinian land of Judah would the later worship of God be centered, that is she as an Ephraimite would NOT any longer hold to the Ephraimite 'holy site' and it would also be taken away from the Jerusalem site of Judah. And this we know to be the New Jerusalem site of Adam Ondi Ahman, where Adam held his last council with his children and where in the end God would again so meet with Adam's posterity as Israel, those who have prevailed in the Lord, and this as the head of Ephraim, even Messiah ben Ephraim as well as Messiah ben David.
