Castles

Now there are Castles and then there are Castles. It is said that 'A Man's Castle Is His Home'. That is well enough. But consider that a castle is some type of structure, yet that structure need not be of a physical nature. Christ spoke of the church in physical terms such as the corner stone and the foundation and so forth. And there is one premise upon which to consider that a 'castle structure' need not be made of sticks and stones, but it can have the structure and power of words. And upon this concept is my internet castle so built. 'Hunter's Castle' is not a physical building but a 'castle' of words and thought construction in the form of an internet site, my internet site, my internet castle so to speak.

And yet, a person's life is also built about or in relationship to a number of such structures whether of the physical and temporal nature or of the conceptual and even spiritual nature. Beginning with the eternal and spiritual realm, there is the Kingdom of God whether in heaven and/or upon earth. God has his throne in heaven and even a more localized throne upon earth, that is the judgment or mercy seat, also denoted as the ark of the covenant. And in terms of actual physical exitence, the Lord's judgment or mercy seat has even been so associated with actual physical structures, the Tabernacle of Moses, the Temple of Solomon and the Temple of Herod and so forth. In those structures there was the place noted as the Holy of Holies where the ark or mercy seat was located. Even in today's temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, there is to be found a location noted as the Holy of Holies where God's presence may dwell within the Temple.
