food—Abigail intercedes, saves Nabal, and gives David a
present—David is pacified, Nabal dies, and David marries Abigail.

Ramah It ought to be of some interest to note that Samuel's family
inheritance was in the lands of Ephraim and that Ramah was thence there.
Samuel dies here at the first of chapter 24 of 1 Samuel and cannot be the
writer of the rest of 1 Samuel nor of 2 Samuel either. That would likely fall
to such as Nathan or some other prophet of God so given to keep the recorded
history from at least this point on.
