Before we look at the possible chiasmic thought form of 2 Nephi 3:14-15 as preserved in the Book of Mormon, it should be noted that the Joseph Smith Translation (JST Gen. 50:33) in which Jehovah is speaking in the first person does not seem to have such a chiasmic form, which suggests that it is more a Hebrew inovation of ordering scripture than was had on the part of the Lord.

[Also note: Due to Elder Orson Pratt's chaptering and versing divisions, this has been obsured and lost.]

Chiasmic Meanings Lost Due to Language Translation? by Don R. Hender
Generally chiasmic form is that which repeats a thought or phrase in parallel statements. But this particular chiasmic form is one of thought completion where the first parallel statement is continued and completed by its following chiasmic paralleled thought phrase. Consider the chiasmic thought relations of the portion of Joseph's prophecy to which Lehi chose to bear particular testimony of by 'bookending' it with the beginning and ending phrases of 'And thus prophesied Joseph, saying' and 'yea, thus prophesied Joseph.' ~ (2 Nephi 3:14-15 properly associated as set out in 1830 Original Edition). And thus prophesied Joseph, saying: [Qoute]
    Behold, that seer will the Lord bless;
      and they that seek to destroy him shall be confounded;
        for this promise, which I have obtained of the Lord,
          of the fruit of my loins,
            shall be fulfilled.
              I AM
            sure of the fulfilling of this promise; (sure fulfilling of it)
          And his name shall be called after me; and it shall be after the name of hisfather.
        And he shall be like unto me;
      for [by] the thing, which the Lord shall bring forth by his hand,
    by the power of the Lord shall bring my people unto salvation
; yea, thus prophesied Joseph. [Unquote] Chiasmic relationships of parallelism are complex and can be altered by translation into another language. For example the center pairing of 'shall be fulfilled' and Behold, I am 'sure of the fulfilling of this promise' could be rendered 'it shall be fulfilled' and 'surely the fulfilling of it' which brings it into a chiasmic paralleled thought. But the more complex chiasmic relationships are those, which complete new thought ideas and concepts. Consider what the paralleled thought relations are when they are 'paired together' in the foregoing leveled form. Note: because of the differences in languages and grammar related alterations, some liberty has been taken to consolidate the paralleled thought patterns of newly revealed thought due to the chiasmic relationships of the 'phrases'. In ancient Egyptian single symbols often represented a 'thought phrase', which for clarity would have to be stated significantly differently in another language such as English with varying amounts of surrounding words. Thus pure 'chiasmic' relationships are lost in the process of making it to be 'clearly stated' in the other language. [outer 'Bookends' levels]: 'Thus prophesied Joseph, ... yea, thus prophesied Joseph' - [Note: all falls within these two 'bookends']

[1st levels combined]: 'Behold, that seer will the Lord bless by the power of the Lord to bring my people unto salvation.'

[2nd levels combined]: 'They that seek to destroy him shall be confounded by the thing, which the Lord shall bring forth by his hand [Book of Mormon & Restoration].' -

[3rd levels combined]: 'For this promise (which I have obtained of the Lord) he shall be like unto me. OR By the Lord's covenant he will be like me' -

[4th levels combined]: 'The fruit of my loins, his name shall be called after me, as after the name of his father.' -

[5th levels combined]: 'It shall be fulfilled-assured fulfilling of it.' -

[central magnificent focal level which reflects upon outer level]: 'Behold I AM [that is Jehovah authored/proclaimed/prophesied it].'

Now this paralleled, level-by-level, chiasmic thought consolidation, though perhaps imperfect in itself due to my weaknesses, reveals further prophetic truth upon the matter and is totally consistent with the prophesied outcomes. Again, the 'wordiness' of the parallelism combination of thought is a product of the language as the corresponding Reformed Egyptian hieroglyphic symbols may will have been in 'perfect' chiasmic form, where the wordiness of the English translation to make sense in English may well not be so perfect a chiasmic form.
