           SECTION 120

Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet, at Far West, Missouri, July 8, 1838, making known the disposition of the properties tithed as named in the preceding revelation, Section 119. HC 3:44.

D&C 120:1 VERILY, thus saith the Lord, the time is now come, that ait shall be bdisposed of by a council, composed of the First Presidency of my Church, and of the bishop and his council, and by my high council; and by mine own voice unto thema, saith the Lord. Even So. Amen.  1a by mine own voice unto them As stated in section one, '... whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same.' This is the way the Lord works, by deligation to man on earth. We may become an instrument in the hands of God, his representative, as so called and moved upon by the Spirit of God. This ] principle of deligation is from the beginning and the head on down, from Jehovah acting in the stead of God the Father of Spirits by divine investiture even down to the lowly teacher in the church who does but speak by the power and spirit of God.
