4 I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.
5 Because thou hast had a perpetual
hatreda, and hast shed the blood
of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their
calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:
6 Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.

5a Because thou hast had a perpetual
hatred This hatred toward Israel was not merely a hatred against
a nation of people. Just what 'Israel' is in the eternal perspective is those
who follow and prevail in the Lord. It is the Lord's people. Thus this is not
just a hatred of one nation toward another nation. It is a hatred aimed
against 'God's people' and thus God himself. This is why the destruction of
not only 'Mt. Seir' but all those who contend against 'Israel', God and his
people is necessary. And the cause and source of the hatred is not only that
which Satan provokes, but it is also due to the lack of recognizing and
adhereing to the Spirit of the Lord which is freely give upon all men who will
turn unto it. Thus all who will not turn unto the Lord at that day must be
removed that the Lord and his kingdom will and does prevail upon the whole
earth.
