17 And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth?
18 Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.
19 Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide
thee, thou and Jeremiaha; and let
no man know where ye be.

19a Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go,
hide thee, thou and Jeremiah Now it ought to be remembered that in
the days of Jehoiakim there were among the 'princes' of the people certain
who had been since the days of Josiah, and where the king was most wicked and
would seek the life of the prophet Jeremiah, the 'princes' would seek to
preserve the life of the prophet and thus they did warn Jeremiah to go and
hide himself via his scribe Baruch. And for the changed nature of the 'princes'
in the days of Zedekiah one ought to recall that all they of the days of
Jehoiakim had been taken and removed to Babylon with Jehoiachin leaving the
wicked high priest to order the new order of the Sanhedrin and those who
would be the princes in the days of Zedekiah.
