27 ¶ But fear not thou, O my servant
aJacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I
will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their
captivitya; and
Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make
him afraid.
28 Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.

27a I will save thee from afar off, and
thy seed from the land of their captivity Now scripture when
allied to 'self' becomes dualistic in meaning. All through time the Lord's
hand has been stretched out still for when scattered Israel would turn or
return unto him. And he doth gather them as would a hen her chickens. But of
a certainty in the later day, in our day, the Lord is subsequently saving and
gathering Israel, those of Jacob, from the land of their captivity as they
turn unto the Lord, accept his gospel and are freed from their captivity in
sin from among all the nations of the earth where they have been scattered.
All who become members of Christ's church today are brought in unto Israel
and counted as of Jacob the seed of Abraham and of the covenant of God. They
are able to find the rest of the Lord and by their faith in him, Jesus Christ,
they need no longer fear for they are made his come what may. And upon the
ushering in of the Millennial Day all nations will become as one nation under
the King of Heaven and Earth.
