24 Blessed above awomen shall
Jaela
the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the
tent.
25 He asked water, and she gave him
milk; she brought forth abutter in a
blordly dish.
26 She put her hand to the anail,
and her right hand to the workmen's hammer; and with the hammer she smote
Sisera, she smote off his head, when she had pierced and stricken through his
btemples.
27 At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down: at her feet he bowed, he fell: where he bowed, there he fell down dead.

24a Jael One line of thought
is that Jael was an Israelite daughter who had been married to a Canaanite.
And this because of her Hebrew name. Another thought, though not as popular,
is that this woman, even though influenced by the direction of God, was
not initially named Ja-el, 'Jehovah is God', until after the deed which she
performed which ridded Israel of Sisera. In either respect, she is here
blessed above women for that which she did do.
