cwithout blemish before the LORD.
2 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his
offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the

1a whether it be a male or
female Now not all sacrifices of the Law of Moses needed to be of
a male gender, for not all such sacrifices were in the very similitude of the
atonement and suffering of Christ. Only those which specify that it be a
bullock or male was in that similitude. These other such sacrifices which
could be of male or female or even of the fruit of the field, where those
sacrifices which represented man's foresaking the things of the world in
placing the spiritual things of God first and foremost in their lives above
those things of the flesh. It was an offering before God of placing the
things of God in order above those things of the natural man. In this
particular case, this offering was a 'peace' offering not a 'sin' or
'atonmement' offering. In the case of a peace offering one was placing the
lover of God which is the very foundation of peace, above and before the
things and desires of the flesh, placing one's love of God spiritually over
and in control of the things of the world. And this is the very process of
obtaining peace in the world, that is letting the things of the world be
secondary to that love of God and of one's fellow man.
