1 And it came to pass on the
aeighth daya,
that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the
belders of Israel;
2 And he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.
3 And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak,
saying, Take ye a kid of the agoats for a sin offering; and
a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a

4 Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to

1a on the eighth day The Jewish
week is seven days, from Sunday to Saturday equivalent upon our calendar
today. The Jewish Sabath under the Law of Moses was the seventh day, from
Friday sunset until Saturday sunset. Thus their Sabath daylight day was on
Saturday the seventh day. They still celibrate their Sabath in the same manner
today. The significance of the eighth day, being the Sunday after the Saturday
Sabath has come into being since the time of Christ, as Jesus rose and was
resurrected from the dead on the Eighth Day, the 'New Sabath' day of the
Christian Era. But their seems that there are threads tied into the Law of
Moses which did foreshadow this 'Eighth Day' of worship in the Lord God. And
here in this chapter and verse in one such occurance which points in parallel
to the eighth day, the sabath day of the Lord, the day of the Lord's
triumphant Resurrection in completion of the Atonement Miracle of His Mission
and Ministry.
