6 ¶ Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?
7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of
arams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall
I give my bfirstborn for my
ctransgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and
what doth the LORD arequire of
theea, but to do
bjustly, and to love cmercy, and to
dwalk ehumbly with thy God?
9 The LORD's voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.

8a what doth the LORD require of
thee Micah is speaking to those who have the gospel after the
fulfilling of the Law of Moses, such as us in the latter days. It is no
longer required of us to offer all the ordinances of blood sacrifice of
animals as set out in the Law of Moses as mentioned in verse 7. What is
required of us is to do justly (righteously), love mercy (charity), and to
walk humbly (meekly and submissively) in unity with God.
