25 And when they agreed not among themselves, they
departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well
aspake the Holy Ghost by
Esaias the propheta unto our
fathers,
26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye
shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not
aperceive:
27 For the aheart of this people is
waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their
beyes have they closed; lest they should see with
their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with
their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

25a Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias
[Isaiah] the prophet The spirit of prophecy is the Holy Ghost, the
revealer of all truth. While between times prophets speak the word of God
from the very mouth of God, they more often speak as moved upon by the Holy
Ghost, which is that means whereby is given that men do receive their
communication from God. And it is a 'talent' given to men that they may speak
by the power of the Holy Ghost and it is perhaps the primary use of this
talent by which men will be judged that they did not lay it dormant, hide and
buried but did step forth and speak their song of testimony as given in them
of the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
