CHAPTER 3 Gentiles are fellowheirs with Israel—The love of Christ passeth all understanding. |
||
1 FOR this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
2 If ye have heard of the adispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: 3 How that by revelation he made aknown unto me the mystery; (as I bwrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the amystery of Christ) |
||
5 Which in other ages was not made known unto
the sons of men, as it is now arevealed unto his holy
apostles and bprophets by the Spirit;
6 That the aGentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: 7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. |
||
8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all
saints, is this agrace given, that I should preach among
the Gentiles the unsearchable briches of Christ;
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the amystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who bcreated all things by cJesus Christa: 10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, 11 According to the eternal apurpose which he purposed in Christ Jesusa our Lord: 12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. |
9a from the beginning of the world hath
been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ So plainly
stated here, is that God by the hand of Jesus Christ, who is the same as
Jehovah, did have all things temporal relative to this world's temporal second
estate formation and organization, 'created' by Jehovah, Jesus Christ, the
Firstborn Son in the spirit and the only begotten son in the flesh relative
to this creation. Thus it would seem that as but a Spirit being, by and
through that power of God annointed and endowed upon him by the Father,
Jehovah the Firstborn Son in the spirit became the creator of this world, he
being the one so chosen who would so 'pertain' unto this estate, that is, he
would come to be born here in order to obtain his own temporal body
(D&C 130:5). Thus being placed in the position to act and stand in the stead
of the Father in all things (Lev. 16:32) as shadowed in type by the ancient
temple and tabernacle performances. Yes, it was this very same Jesus Christ
who had created all things of this world's preparation for the placing of
God the Father's spirit children here on beginning with Adam and Eve. Just
what the state of affairs the matter of this earth was in prior to that
'creation' and organization is immaterial to its purpose under the direction
and hand of God. It was void and without life and if life had previously been
here, it had become extinct prior to the creation to which it was subjected
as recorded in the book of Genesis (also Moses) and Abraham. This the creation
God of the Old Testament is the same Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of the New
Testament. And he did so perform as such under the direction of his and our
Father in Heaven, the very Father of all our spirits. 11a According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus Yes, in that preexistent estate, our First Estate, God the Father of Spirit did 'prupose' or set forth His Plan, the Plan of Eternal Progression, the Plan of Salvation, that Plan of Happiness, even that very 'Gospel Plan'; whereby in and through Jehovah as Jesus Christ all mankind, all the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve, would be able to be saved. And this before the world was so created. |
|
13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the aFather of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole afamily in heaven and earth is named, |
||
16 That he would grant you, according to the
ariches of his glory, to be bstrengthened
with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being arooted and bgrounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the alove of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. |
||
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, aworld without end. Amen. |
