9 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your

  10 Nor ascrip for your

11 And into whatsoever city or town ye shall
aenter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there
abidea till ye go thence.
12 And when ye come into an house, salute it.
13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
|
11a enquire who in it is worthy; and
there abide In this the apostles and preaching disciples were not
without support. For they would stay with he who would proclaim himself
worthy, for he which was worthy would provide for the habitation and needs
of the 'missionary'. And the disciple would leave their blessings of peace
upon that house and man. Thus the disciples would be provided for much in
the way that the prophet Joseph Smith was provided for at the homes of Newel
Whitney and Father Johnson.

15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable
for the land of aSodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment,
than for that city.

24 The adisciple is not above
his master, nor the servant above his lord.
25 It is enough for the disciple
athat he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If
they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall
they call them of his household?

28 And afear not them which kill
the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather
bfear him which is able to cdestroy both
