1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou
lightest the alamps, the seven
lampsa shall give light over
against the candlestick.
3 And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.
4 And this work of the candlestick was of
beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was
beaten work: according unto the apattern which the LORD had
shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick.

1a the seven lamps This is the
Manorah—candlestick of the Temple. Christ, the Son of Man, is the one
in the midst of the seven (Rev. 1:12-13).
The 'seven candlesticks' are
said to be 'the seven churches', which may be representative of the seven
despensations of time with their despensation heads and the related churches
thereof. In this sense, Joseph Smith would stand with such as Adam, Noah,
Abraham, Moses and Jesus Christ at one of the seven heads of the various
churches of the despensations of time over the earth's history. And of course
in all the times, these seven including the Lord do work according to the
direction of the spirit which has been placed upon them which communes
directly with God that the will and mind of God will be fulfilled and carried
out in every despensation of time (Zech. 4:6) which are the 'seven Spirits of
God' or despensation heads so appointed and anointed by God before the world
was (Rev. 4:5), 'who have been sent into all the earth' (Rev. 5:6).
