CHAPTER 112
Blessed is the man who feareth the Lord—The righteous shall be had
in everlasting remembrance.
|
|
|
  1 PRAISE ye the LORD.
Blessed is the man that afeareth the LORD,
that bdelighteth greatly in his
ccommandments.
2 His aseed shall be mighty
upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
|
|
|
  3 Wealth and ariches shall
be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4 Unto the upright there ariseth
alight in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of
compassion, and righteous.
|
|
|
5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
|
|
|
7 He shall not be afraid of evil
tidingsa: his
aheart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
|
7a He shall not be afraid of evil
tidings The confidence of the righteous which they have in the
Lord is that come what may the Lord is over all and it will be made right
with them. Job held such confidence in the Lord that dispite all his evil
tidings and trails Job knew that yet he would see God and live in his
kingdom. It is the confidence that there is something great and beyond this
fragile mortality and that despite the evil which may come upon a person in
this life yet the goodness of the Lord and his blessings will be forever. Such
faith in God gives one an asurance with which man may resist all that may
come his way for his faith and righteousness allows him to look unto God and
live.

|
9 He hath dispersed, he hath
agiven to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever;
his horn shall be exalted with honour.
10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
