       CHAPTER 126

The Lord hath done great things for his people Israel.

A Song of degrees.
1 WHEN the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
2 Then was our mouth filled with laughtera, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath adone great bthings for them.
3 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
2a Then was our mouth filled with laughter This is the propheitc present tense spoke of a futre event as if it has already occured for so sure is it to be. All sorrow, pain and travale will be make right and joy will be had in the place thereof. All things made right and repaired that man will laugh rather than cry and all will be healed and the ills of the world removed and made better.
4 aTurn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in ajoy.
6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious aseed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his bsheaves with him.
