CHAPTER 24
David testifies: The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof—He that hath clean hands and a pure heart shall ascend unto the hill of the Lord—The Lord of hosts is the King of glory. |

||
We and the Earth Are His |
||
  1 THE
aearth is the bLORD's, and the
fulness thereofa; the world,
and they that dwell
thereinb.
  2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. |
1a The earth is the LORD's, and
the fulness thereof Though we know that we are the spirit children
of God the Father of Spirits, by the process of selection, deligation and
anointing, the Father has ordained the Son to adminiter as the One True God
of Heaven and Earth unto all that is under His creation. The principle being
that only those who do belong to this Second Estate, are here present to
minister unto it (D&C 130:5). The Father already being an exalted being of
celestialized flesh and bone, no longer 'pretains' to this estate, but had
progress beyond it in his state of Celestial perfection. Thus by the hand of
Jehovah was the creation performed. And this earth of this Second Estate is
his and the fulness thereof. He it is who is the same as Jesus Christ, who
did create the heavens and the earth and all that in them are. As an anointed
God of Spirit, Christ was able to perform this creation by that power and
authority deligated to Him by the Father of Spirits. And while in the order
of deligation, the earth and the fulness thereof is His, He in turn in the
proper order of Heaven, returns all glory to the Father, He acting in the
Father's stead in all things to the end that man might be brought to
immortality and eternal life.
1b and they that dwell therein All the spirits who have come to this earth, to this second estate to obtain their physical bodies after keeping their First Estate, are His; meaning that we have been given over to His care and his administration. And when Christ prayed unto the Father in our behalf, referring to all that the Father had given Him, none were left all. All who have lived and descended from Adam and Eve upon this earth are His, we are who have been given Him. He is our God, our Redeemer, our Savior, our Mediator and Advocate with the Father. None come but by Him. There is no other way or name given under heaven, and we are His, we have been deligated to His care and His administration. |

  3 Who shall aascend into the hill of
the LORD? or who shall stand in his bholy place?
  4 He that hath aclean bhands, and a cpure dheart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto evanity, nor fsworn gdeceitfully. |
||
  5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD,
and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
  6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, aO Jacob. Selah. |

The King of GloryInterestingly enough is that David was the second King in Israel after Israel had required of Samuel a king over the judges of Israel who did serve under and according to the 'true' King of Israel, the 'true' King of Glory. In this sector of David's hymn, he recalls that the LORD is King which was the meaning of the name of his ancestory of inheirtance as to the covenant and Firstborn in Israel, namely Elimelech the Ephrathite, Elimelech meaning 'God is King'. David in his young years seems quite humble enough to recognize that over and above himself, who was anointed King by Samuel (1 Samuel 16), The LORD God is the one true King of Glory. Later in David's life, he will break all of the Lord's commandments and defile the ancestry of the promised seed. |
||
  7 aLift up your heads, O ye gates;
and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall
bcome in.
  8 Who is this aKing of bglory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.   9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.   10 Who is this aKing of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah. |
