       CHAPTER 43

The righteous praise God and cry: Send out thy light and thy truth.

1 aJUDGE me, O God, and plead my causea against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the bdeceitful and unjust man.
2 For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I amourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
1a plead my cause A central role of out God of this estate, Jehovah, the Firstborn son in the Spirit, is that of being mediator and advocate. He it is who pleads our case to the Father above. Under the direction of the Father, the Son is the God of this world who ministers to our needs, he being 'One Amoung Us'. Thus he is able to minister to this estate, he also being of this estate (D&C 130:5).
3 O send out thy alight and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy btabernacles.
4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
