       CHAPTER 67

A Messianic Psalm—The Lord shall cause his face to shine upon men—He shall judge and govern in righteousness.

To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm or Song.
1 GOD be amerciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to bshine upon us; Selah.
2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy asaving health among all nations.
3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
6 Then shall the aearth yield her bincrease; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear hima.
7a the ends of the earth shall fear him This Messianic Psalm is directed to the Second Coming when the Lord shall reign in judgement upon all the earth. He will govern the nations during his 1,000 year Millennial Reign. Yet in another sense, we ought to consider that a Messianic Psalm may cover from the creation as that is also a mission of the Messiah or Jehovah who Saves—Jesus. And though he will not physically reign til the Millennium, does he not in truth reign from beginning to end and that which is his, our ministering God's, mission was set forth and began even from the creation. Thus in truth the whole of the Bible and all of scripture is Messianic, for they all speak of him and that which he does perform as his mission as our God of this Second Estate in the stead of the Father in all things as the Father remains in his Celestial heaven and only those who do pertain unto this estate do minister unto it (D&C 130:5).
