       CHAPTER 94

The Lord shall judge the earth and all men—Blessed is he whom the Lord teacheth and chasteneth—The Lord will not forsake his people, but shall cut off the wicked.

1 O LORD God, to whom avengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongetha, shew thyself.
2 Lift up thyself, thou ajudge of the earth: render a breward to the proud.
3 LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked atriumph?
1a to whom vengeance belongeth Vengeance is the Lord's, he will repay; and we are to forgive all men. (Mormon 8:20, Mormon 3:15, Romans 12:19, Isaiah 63:4) Only in Romans 12:19 is clearly stated in the Bible with a close similar phrase in Isaiah 63:4, that 'Vengeance is mine' ... saith the Lord, but due to this reference in Psalms and the statement of Mormon in the Book of Mormon, we must see that some common scripture before David was so written from which all have taken their idea. Romans states it is written and Mormon also states that it is written in scripture that not only 'vengeance' but also 'judgment' is the Lord's. Even Moses seems but to paraphrase the concept in Deuteronomy 32:35, 'To me belongeth vengeance, and recompense; ... '. But to which original prophet and scripture Moses, David, Isaiah, Paul and Mormon did commonly look? It may be best stated plainly by Mormon who must have had that original script found in the plates of brass, for he doth state it best, similar to Paul's rendition who also testified that it was so written. And thus he too must have had some scripture that is no longe of the Bible record. Such plain and precious renditions have been lost but now restored but yet to be further revealed in their fulness. What else is their beyond this? We only can look forward to the rest of the more plain word of God to be given.
4 How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
5 They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.
6 They aslay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
7 Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.
8 Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?
9 He that planted the ear, shall he not ahear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
10 He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?
11 The LORD aknoweth the bthoughts of man, that they are cvanity.
  12 Blessed is the man whom thou achastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;
13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
14 For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he aforsake his inheritance.
15 But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
17 Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.
19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.
20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth amischief by a law?
21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
22 But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.
