       CHAPTER 96

Sing praises unto the Lord—Declare his name among the heathen—Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness—He cometh to judge his people and the world.

A Messianic Psalm

It has been pointed out that the mission of the Messiah does span from the beginning as the right and appointment, his anointing, of the Firstborn Jehovah in that preexistant realm unto the temporal creation of heaven, earth and man to the work of the God of the Old Testament to the work of the Mortal Messiah on unto the work of the restoration and through the Second Coming, the great Millennial Day and even unto the Final Judgement when Christ does judge and present his people unto God the Father to the glory of the Father. And while most 'Messianic Psalms' but center is some recognizable event of the Son's mortal ministry, in truth the mission of the Messiah spans the ages of time and not merely some 34 years. And even beyond that, though Christ who is Jehovah is our one annd only appointed Ministering God who does minister to this estate in the stead of the Father in all things, for none but who pertain unto this realm do minister unto it (D&C 130:5), it is those first, last and throughout presences and events and finalizations of God the Father of Spirits which does stamp the approval and acceptance of all things and the salvation which the work of the Lord Jesus Christ doth bring. So in it very brodest sense both the Father and the Son do have part and share in the 'Messianic' salvation of the earth and God's children. And in the very broadest sense all, both Father and Son are a part of that which may properly be labled Messianic and then this as all songs of praise unto God are of a Messianic nature as all do as all prophetical and scriptural word does do, speak of the Lord and his mission, the very grander mission of Messiah.

1 O aSING unto the LORD a new bsong: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
2 Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his asalvation from day to day.
3 Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the anations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
6 aHonour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
7 Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
8 Give unto the LORD the aglory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his bcourts.
9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of aholiness: fear before him, all the earth.
10 Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall ajudge the people righteously.
11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
12 Let the field be ajoyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
13 Before the aLORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the eartha
13a he cometh to judge the earth It will be a part of Christ's Second Coming, the Millenium and the Final Judgment thereof wherein the LORD will perform his judgment of all the earth in 'one day' in Zechariah 3:7 God the Father pronounces to Jehovah/Jehoshua that if he will keep the Father's charge and walk in His ways then he Jesus would judge the Father's house. Yet in the end when Christ presents his followers who are the righteous of the Father's house it is then that the Father will 'remove the iniauity of the land in one day', the day of God the Father's final acceptance of Christ, his work and his people. Thus salvation comes through the work of the Son to the acceptance by the Father. And then earth will receive it paradisical glory and this work of the Lord and the LORD will be done according to their work and their glory (Moses 1:39).
