Wife and Family Number 1The first wife of Joseph Moon Jr. of Higher Clicker was Christiana Deeble Rogers, who was the daughter of John and Mary Rogers of Quethiock. A simple line pedigree is given below of their family and children detailing a number of supported parish recorded events. Also there is a Royal Cornwall Gazette listing that has been extrated which confirms the information presented. See it amongst the OPC Parish transcriptions further below. Regretablely at least half of her/their children died as young children. Three are known to have married as given below.

Census Records Confirmations of 1841 and 1851That the two families are of Joseph Moon Jr. of Higher Clicker, married at least twice and had two families, is supported by the following census record. The 1841 record comes as the first wife has died and Joseph has married the 'second' wife and has had children by her. In the 1841 census of the first family Christiana Moon is still at home and listed with the family tieing the two wives' families together.

The Relationship of the Wives of Joseph Moon of Higher ClickerThe first child of John ROGERS and Mary JANE/Lane was Honour ROGERS. Their tenth child was Christiana Deeble ROGERS. Their youngest child married Joseph Moon of Higher Clicker. She was his first wife. John and Mary's oldest daughter married Willaim FOOTT. Their second child was Catherine Ann Rogers FOOTT. After the death of Joseph Moon's first wife Christiana in 1827, Joseph Moon married the niece of his first wife Catherine Ann Rogers FOOTT in 1829. There were 8 children by his first wife and 5 children by is second wife.

And thus, though Joseph and Susanna were both surnamed Moon and are most likely related at some
degree of relationship, they are removed from each other by several generations of relationship.
Still the curious matter is that they are both surnamed Moon and are so related in some respect.
As the parents of the family of Joseph Moon Jr., their family simple line pedigree is briefly
