The brief form of the will of Nicholas Hill has left some question about his solid family ties. The will does not name its beneficeries as children of Nicholas Hill. But a sound review of the family of Nicholas and Margaret Hiil should leave little question that those named in the Will are indeed the children of Nicholas Hill and his wife Margaret. As set out below, his three children were Mary Hill, Joan Hill and George Hill. They are who so named in the Will with his two daughters being listed under their married names and Joan Hill's children of John Adams also being listed as beneficeries as well.

Nicholas Hill's Will is a short seemingly abreviated Will. But being there were only
three children and his wife to consider, so it was. Yet the exact three children as
are in the parish baptisms are the same three named in the father's, Nicholas Hill's,
Will. They are Mary who was wife of George Couch, Joan wife of John Adams and George
Hill. It was only to his daughter Joan wife of John Adams that Nicholas Hill's Will
further mentions a bequeth to English, Mary, Elizabeth, and John, assuredly Adams.
Those are the children of John Adams who married Joah Hill. The Will was written
January 1746/7 so as not to mention any further children such as Joan and George
Adams.
