Coming to understand that Jehovah as Jesus becomes the servant of all, descending below all to serve all in bring about the atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world is a significant matter. Jesus showed forth by example that he who was the greatest of all, was the servant of all. This is a divine principle of service and Jesus Christ who descended below all to be the servant of all is made the greatest of all. Understanding Jesus Christ or Jehovah as the selected servant of all by God the Father helps us to understand that the scriptures do speak of the Messiah as the servant in the scriptures. Jesus taught this very principle of being a 'servant' in giving saving service when he showed forth that he was the servant of all by his act of washing the feet of the Apostles and teaching them that they must make themselves low to be the servant of all who they are called upon to serve. He that would be greatest of all was made the servant of all. Christ is the greatest of all and he has and does perform as the servant of all in the work of bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.
