Uren who married this William Hender. Harriet Jago the Wife is/was Jane Uren's sister, they both being the daughters of
James Uren. With that family on the 1851 census is found Jane Hendy [Hender], the niece of Harriet Uren Jago and daughter

It is believed that the foregoing family of Joshua and Mary Anne is the same
family, sometimes a bit contorted in the later census records as does follow:

Hender = Mary Ann 1861 Census ED16 Truro St Mary Folio 82 Page 19/20

(1871 Census, Piece RG.10/2123 is found:)

Dwelling place: 6 High Street, Plymouth Dev.
Hender, Mary Ann, Head, Widow, age 46, Pension from ??, born Kenwyn Corn.
Hender, Joshua, Son, age 20, Sailor, born Truro Corn.
Hender, Frederick, Son, age 15, Shoemaker, born Truro Corn.
Hender, Francis, Son, age 12, Scholar, born Truro Corn.

This sounds to be the same family moved from Truro to Plymouth with some differing children present
in each case.

Thomas Hender, Son, U, 30, Truro Cornwall, Boot Finisher

This also sounds like our family with some adjustments. Thus in summary:

Joshua Hender = Mary Ann(e)

*There is a consistency between a potter and a turner. A potter makes pottery
from clay by spinning or turning and molding the clay upon a flat surface.

Kenwyn, a parish and a sub-district in Truro district, Cornwall. The parish lies partly within Truro borough; is traversed by a rivulet of its own name, and bounded on the East by the rivulet Allen, both of which fall into the river Fal at Truro; includes the chapelries of St. George and St. John, and parts of the chapelries of Chacewater, Baldhu, and Mithian; and is averagely, as to its church, 1 mile NW of Truro town and r. station. Post town, Truro. etc. Thus Kenwyn and Truro are nearly synonomously related.
