Item 137
Jesus Christ in 'THE' Promises to Joseph
[The Righteous Branch of David]
We have previously noted that both Joseph's patriarchal
blessing under the hand of Jacob and his thrid dream Joseph had of the Rotten Fruit are evidence
of the Messiah to be 'from thence' and of the fruit of Joseph as the Messiah of Joseph. There is
also that of Isaiah 11 and the D&C 113 takes of interpretations which have been variously subscribed
in error to Joseph Smith. And there is the statement in the JST from Genesis 48 which can only be
true of the descendants of Joseph and Ephraim if it is Christ who is the seed worshipped 'for ever'
therein. We will herein briefly review each of these.
But before we do, there is another question that seems most appropriate. And we have partially
addressed that in a 'lead up' manner but not yet in its full course. And this concerns the JST
revealed translation of the Bible had in Gensis 50. Here we have already stipulated that the
reference and use of the disclaimer that given there of 'Not the Messiah' is only credible and not
a redundant needless statement of delimiting just who of Joseph's seed is or is not that promised
Messiah. We will briefly review that here as well.
And yet the 'BIG' question is, after delimiting just who of Joseph's branches the 'Messiah in NOT
of,' why is there not next a direct promise of the Messiah in those promises given to Joseph by the
Lord as stated in the JST Genesis 50 account of Joseph's blessings and/or promises given him by
Jehovah? Certainly one would think that when Jehovah speaks directly to Joseph and does render unto
him his various great promises of those who would be of his seed as promised blessings to him,
Jehovah would certaily include that great promise of 'JESUS' being of the house of Joseph. That will
be the major topic of this item, which will be persued after the first mentioned topics are first
briefly reviewed.
Joseph's Patriarchal Blessing
"¶ Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run
over the wall:
|
From the Latter-day Saint perspective, this seem abundently clear that various 'branches' of
Joseph's descendants will cross over the Ocean to America, which America the Book of Mormon
makes to be the land of promise give to Joseph that is choice above all other lands.
|
"The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
|
Speaking of Joseph personally, he has had 'foes' who have sought to take him down,
particularly his own elder brothers, who hated him. It was because he
was the chosen 'birthright son of the covenant.'
|
"But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands
of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd,
the stone of Israel:)
|
And Joseph in integrity and righteousness stayed strong, and the arms of his hands and were
unheld and made strong by the mighty God of Jacob.
(Joseph's resilient righteous character is that,
'from thence is the shepherd, the stone of
Israel').
|
"Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with
blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of
the womb:
|
Certainly the blessing from Jehovah, who has and shall help Joseph, who is the Almighty will bless
him with the blessings of heaven, and of the depths of the earth and of the 'seed' of the woman. The
revealed blessing of Jehovah directly to Joseph speaks to some of these also (JST Genesis 50).
|
"The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost
bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head
of him that was separate from his brethren."
|
The blessings of Jacob/Israel have prevailed above his progenitors, even to the utmost
bound of the everlasting hills—AND they shall be on the head of Joseph—on the crown of
the head of Joseph, who was separated from his brethren. Even Joseph so separated from his brethren,
that is his blessings upon the everlasting hills of Adam's America have been given unto the
descendants of Joseph.
|
~ Old Testament | Genesis 49:22-26
|
Now some had and other will still continue to say that when speaking of 'the shepherd, the stone
of Israel, the obvious Messiah, it wast but speaking soley of Jacob the nearest 'noun' to the
parenthetical statement. But that is not so. When such a parenthetical statement is made it is
made concerning that who is the topic of the matter, not unto that which gives that topic
the strength of God. And only with knowning of the course of Joseph's personal life, his righteous
relationship with God, and those blessings which have come unto Joseph, can one know of that
which is being spoken of here in Joseph Patriarchal Blessing.
As to the 'branches' of Joseph that have gone over the Ocean to America, there is Lehi of
Manasseh, Ishmael of Ephraim, and Mulek who is of the house of David and of the house of
Joseph by right of the birthright as set out in this text. There also there is those that
were scattered of Joseph into the nations of the Gentile that have been brought to the shores
of America in as it were wave upon wave of pilgrams, imagrants, and even such as the specifically
watch seed of the family of Joseph Smith, the prophet of the latter days, who is the promised
descendant of Joseph of Egypt as well as Jesse that Ephrathite/Ephraimite. And even those who
are the 'companions' of Joseph by the adoption of the Gentiles into the house of Israel by
entrance into the Chruch of Jesus Christ.
This was Joseph's blessing given by his Patriarch father Jacob, spoken by revelation unto Joseph
as to what Joseph's blessings were and would be.
Isaiah 11:1-5 / D&C 113:1-4
"AND there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out
of his roots:
|
This is a parallelism and the 'Rod' and 'Branch' are set in parallel as the subject(s)
of the parallelism. Simply the 'Rod and Branch' are Jesus Christ who is spoken about in the
remaining 4 verses.
|
"And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
|
Simply said the Holy Ghost shall come upon him and bless him with wisdom, understanding, counsel,
might, knowledge and with the fear of God. This 'event' was fulfilled when Jesus was baptized and
the Holy Ghost descended out of heaven and abode upon him, though certainly the Holy Spirit had
blessed him before and after.
|
"And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge
after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
|
The blessings of the 'Spirit' continue. Christ will judge with that
spirit of descernment, and not merely by physical observation of appearance. How does
Christ know the heart and mind of man? It is by the witness of the Spirit that
attends the inner soul of a man spirit to spirit.
|
"But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of
the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips
shall he slay the wicked.
|
This continues as to Christ's abilities to judge properly and fairly, being not as a respecter
of persons. And certainly the fact that by the power of his mouth and bu the breath of his lips he
does 'slay' the wicked, speaks directly that this is the Christ spoken of. Only he is man's
ultimate judge.
|
"And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his
reins.
|
Only Christ is totally clothed with righteousness from stem to stern. No other man
is without sin. Who says otherwise, the truth is not in him.
|
Old Testament | Isaiah 11:1 - 5
|
The answer given to the poorly framed question of D&C 113 does tell us that it
is Jesus Christ 'Who' is spoken of in these 5 verses of Isaiah chapter 11. Exactly
who framed or asked that question is not known. What is wrong with the way the question
was asked is that the verb modifying double prepositional phrase of 'of the stem
of Jesse' is placed incorrectly as the direct object of the pronoun 'Who' in the
question. When that improperly placed interrupting verb modifying preposition is removed, it is
clear that the question is asking "Who is spoken of in the 1st, 2d, 3d, 4th and 5th verses of
the 11th chapter of Isaiah?" As it is phrased in D&C 113, it is missing the preposition 'of'
from in front of the prepositional phrase 'of the stem of Jesse.' The actual
antecedent of the pronoun 'who' that is properly being refered to as the subject(s) of Verse 1,
is the 'rod' and the 'branch'.
If one where to rearrange the first sentence of the compound parallism in normal 'Subject,
Verb order, it is easy to be seen as to what is the subject, verb and verb modifying preposition.
"A rod shall come forth out of the stem of Jesse." AND that matches the other half of the
parallelism which is already in normal Subject-Verb order. "A Branch shall grow out of his roots."
When properly read according to the rules of grammar for comprehension, something quite amazing
appears relative to the second question of verse 3 of D&C 113.
"WHO is [of] the Stem of Jesse spoken of in the 1st, 2d, 3d, 4th, and 5th
verses of the 11th chapter of Isaiah?
Note: 'of the stem of Jesse' has its definition as the parallelism's directly associated second
sentence's parallel verb modifying preposition 'of his roots'. That is the stem of Jesse is the
same as his roots, or even trunk or stubble if you will.
Properly Framed Question Would Be:
"Who is spoken of in Isaiah 11:1-5?"
~ OR ~
"Who is the rod and Branch spoken of in Isaiah 11:1-5?"
|
Without the 'proper' perposition 'of' from verse 1 of Isaiah 11 placed in front of the prepositional
phrase taken from that verse and poorly framed into this question, the question has become 'muddled'.
The true antecedent objects of the pronous 'Who' are the two parallel subjects of the parallelism,
the nouns 'rod' and 'branch.' With that understanding of whom, the 'Who' has reference to the question
become equivalent to "Who are the rod and Branch spoken of in Isaiah 11:1-5?" The double
prepositional 'of the stem of Jesse' had not business being used as the direct object of the pronous
'Who' in the question. That was the verb modifying prepositional phrase and NOT 'who' the verse
was speaking about. the verse was speaking about 'a rod' and 'a Branch.' They are the correct
antecedents of the pronoun who that if properly framed, may be used as the direct objects of the
pronoun 'Who' in the question. The prepositional phrase has NO business of being there as the
direct object at all.
|
"Verily thus saith the Lord: It is Christ.
|
Whether 'properly framed' or NOT, the answer is
that Christ is the Branch and Rod.
|
"What is the rod spoken of in the first verse of the 11th chapter of Isaiah, that should
come of the Stem of Jesse?
Note: It is NOT Christ as the stem that the rod comes from, it is Christ who is the Rod who
has come out of the stem of Jesse.
This question in one sense has already been answered that the 'Rod' and the 'Branch' is Christ.
And in the sense of it further poorly framed form, it is non-sensible.
|
Here again that question is poorly phrased in that they have arbitrially capitalized 'Stem' where
in the use is Isaiah it was but an uncapitalized common noun and NOT a proper noun of a distinct
proper name of the thing. It never was the Stem of Jesse who was Christ. that was but the root,
stump or dead dry stem from which Christ as the 'Rod' and 'Branch' did 'shoot' out from that stem
of Jesse. And thus by mixing the real subject 'rod,' which has already now been answered once
into this next question that again gives the prepositional phrase the status of what it is all
speaking about; the water is now going to be further muddied and muddled.
|
"Behold, thus saith the Lord: It is a servant in the hands of Christ, who is partly a
descendant of Jesse as well as of Ephraim, or
of the house of Joseph, on whom there is laid much power."
God the Father House of Joseph
|_______________|
|
Jesus Christ
|
A great revelation about Jesus' ancestry as the Rod and
Branch has been totally lost and obscured by the poorly written and interpreted question.
The revelation is that Christ, who logically is only 'partly' of human earthly
descent because he is the Son of God; has his earthly descent is lineal back through Jesse
'as well as' continuing back on the same line through Ephraim, effectively meaning he is of
the house of Joseph.[period]
Jesus it the servant with his life in his own hands
giving it freely for the sins of mankind.

Doctrine and Covenants | Section 113:1 - 4
|
At the end of the previous item #138 is given there further discussion and diagramming of
the sentence structure for proper comprehension and understanding, which has been lost
here. Verses 5 and 6 of D&C 113 well may speak of Joseph Smith and perhaps others as
well. But the verses and their poorly framed and written questions from the proper context
of what is said in Isaiah 11:1 has been mangled as to its truth and what is actually
revealed concerning the answers given. They have been pooley interpreted in D&C 113:1-4. They
do not speak of Joseph Smith, but speak of Jesus Christ.
JST Genesis 48 - Joseph and Christ
"For thou [Joseph] hast prevailed, and thy father's house hath bowed down unto thee,
even as it was shown unto thee, before thou wast sold into Egypt by the hands of thy brethren;
wherefore thy brethren shall bow down unto thee, from generation to generation,
unto the fruit of thy loins for ever;"
~ JST | Genesis 48:10 (7-11); [see also D&C 76:93; Rev. 5:13 ]
Simply said, we are said to not to worship and bow ourselves down to man, but unto God only
for ever. The only 'fruit of the loins' of Joseph, that is his legal and lawful
seed of the covenant birthright to whom any would bow down to for ever is but Jesus Christ.
Even Joseph Smith, the prophet of the restoration and of the last days, merits no such eternal
oblation and subservience. In not this only that which is a reference to Jesus Christ, Jehovah?
Unnecessarily Redundant or Required Delimiting?
In respect to Joseph's blessing as given by Jehovah to Joseph of Egypt in the JST Genesis 50 and
from the plates of brass via Lehi in 2 Nephi 3; there are 'disclaimers' given as to the
identity of the Messiah, that He is NOT of certain 'particular branches' of the legal and rightful
heirs and descendants of Joseph of Egypt. NOW, Why would the Lord or Joseph of Egypt for that matter,
deem it necessarily state such a redundantly obvious statement of exclusion if it where already truly
given to be understood that the promised Messiah was but to come out of the tribe of Judah as some
have so interpreted Judah's blessing from Jacob as having stated? The answer seems to be that it was
actually a 'required stipulation' delimiting certain branches of Joseph's descendants from being
that of the Messiah so that the proper branch for Joseph, who was the Messiah would be more
correctly and properly identified.
There Is None Good but One,
That Is God
¶ "Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I
will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute
judgment and justice in the earth."
~ Old Testament | Jeremiah 23:5
Now David was of the house of Joseph though of the blood of Boaz. Boaz was the redeeming kinsman
who raised up seed unto Ruth's first husband Mahlon who was an Ephrathite/Ephraimite descended from
Joseph. And thus Obed being the father of Jesse, who is also identified as an Ephrathite/Ephraimite.
Jesus Chrst, the righteous Brance of David, while in his earthly ministry as a man of flesh walking
upon the earth with his apostles, a man came running to him "and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good
Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"
Jesus answering him began with these now famous and least understood reply, "Why callest thou me good?
there is none good but one, that is, God." (Matther 19:17 & Mark 10:18) What had Jesus just said to
the man? Was Christ pointing out to that man that no man of flesh was good, not even himself? God
forbid. To Moroni, as Moroni was preparing his abridgement of the Book of Ether, the Lord said unto
Moroni, "... for good cometh of none save it be of me." (Ether 4:12)
No man or woman was without sin, being purely righteous. All have their weakness(es), even Joseph
Smith. The only purely good and righteous man that has lived is Jesus Christ, who is the same as
Jehovah, the Spirit God of the Old Testament. For some thousands of years, as Jehovah, God of the
Old Testament, he often standing and speaking in the stead of the Father, and as while so doing,
speaking of himself as the Messiah in the third person. Here in Matthew and Mark, Jesus is speaking
as the Son concerning himself as God in the third person. He was not stating that Jesus Christ was
not 'good,' only that he was the same as God Jehovah who was good. Jehovah, the Ministering God
pertaining to this temporal second estate is good, he is totally righteous, and he one and the same
as Jesus Christ. And that is God who it Good, who is Jehovah, and he is the same as Jesus Christ. It
is he who was the righteous Promised Branch to come to earth to Redeem His People.
We will now look at the first 'delimiting statement' as recorded in the JST of Genesis 50:24:
Joseph the Patriarch of Israel
"Great Were the Covenants of the Lord Made unto Joseph"
~ Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 3:4 ~
After the death of Jacob, if it had not already been the pattern
of the brothers of Joseph, it would have been then that the other brothers/tribes of Israel would
have looke to Joseph as the responsible birthright son who held by that position the duty to care
for the family, all of his father's household. Certainly Joseph had already considered all of the
house of Israel/Jacob 'his people' and had already taken upon himself to provide for all of their
welfare and livelihood and even that of being their ruler or patriarchal family head standing in
the stead of the disceased father Jacob. That was just part of the covenant responsibility of the
rightfully recognized 'firstborn son' of the covenant, to act in his father's stead when the
father had retired to heaven, as it were. And so did Joseph do and even more so still.
As an accompanying
note that can not be resisted here to be said in conjunction with this, it would have fall on Joseph
patriarchal head and responsibility to the family, now acting as their head, to also step up and
provide for the family any future 'saving messiah' from his posterity as well as JOSEPH WAS THE
FAMILY'S PATRIARCH HEAD AND FATHER from that particular time and thus on into the future. The 'right
to the ancestry of the Messiah' had just become his right as the recognized Patriarchal Father and
leader.
It will be of some benefit that each of the various 'branches' of Joseph be recognizably numbered
and kept track of as this review through Jehovah's promises of blessings upon Joseph proceeds.
|
24. And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die, and go unto my fathers; and I go down to my grave
with joy. The God of my father Jacob be with you, to deliver you out of affliction in the days of
your bondage; for the Lord hath visited me, and I have obtained a promise of the Lord, that
[1] out of the fruit of my
loins, the Lord God will raise up a righteous branch out of my loins;
and unto thee,
whom my father Jacob hath named Israel, [2]
a prophet;
(not the Messiah who is called
Shilo;) and this prophet shall
deliver my people out of Egypt in the days of thy bondage.
(JST | Genesis 50:24)
Joseph, the Patriarchal Heir and the family leader by the birthright, did considered all Isreal
as his people, his children and his responsiblity. Joseph would also bear the
'right' to the ancestry of the Messiah, the righteous Branch from David as one of the
promised blessings of the firstborn birthright and covenant of Abraham.
|
A Prophet and Promised Deliverer
Moses held the 'right to the priesthood and its keys'
as he held the Keys of Gathering Israel, and this as he was
the adopted heir of Joseph.
[Exactly How Follows]
|
[1]A Righteous
Branch
1. a righteous branch
2. out of my [Joseph] loins
And [2] the Moses Branch
1. 'and' a prophet [Moses]
2. of Joseph by the 'conjunction and'
3. the 'conjunction' logic is later confirmed
4. (not the Messiah who is called Shilo)
5. this prophet shall deliver my people out of Egypt in the days of bondage
Moses was a Promised Branch of Joseph. Joseph was to be the ancestor of
the Messiah. It understandable that there was a need to ensure that Moses was not
mistaken as the Messiah who is called Shiloh. Moses who was likened unto Jesus or
Jesus was like unto Moses throughout the scriptures: (1 Nephi 22:20-21; 3 Nephi 20:23;
Deut. 18:15; Moses 1:6). And he was by some mistaken as the Messiah.
|
Joseph speaking to his brothers of what Jehovah had promised him and began by identifying those
various branches of his loins, who the Lord promised would come of his house. Ironically there first
two will be eventually be found to have been 'adopted' into the house and lineage of Joseph. This
begs the question, does God, does the Lord view 'abopted' children any differently than those who
are naturally born. Is the Lord a respecter of persons? Of course not. Whether adopted into a
family or born into a family, it is the same and considered so by God. And the adopted son, as in
these first two cases, are treated and spoken of as being the same as sons of Joseph loins. God in
his dealings with men is not a respecter of persons.
First this becomes important as we now further first speak of Moses, the Second
branch spoke of. And as if the conjunction 'and' is not enough to understand that Moses was to be
of Joseph's loins, verse 29 will further define these first two branches of Joseph. Yet it ought to
be noted that we are by concluding upon Moses first, skipping the verses that did continue on and
speak of the Messiah, Jesus Christ.
|
29. And I [Jehovah speaking in the stead of the FATHER]
will make [1] him [Messiah (who is me in the third person as Jesus Christ)]
great in mine eyes, for
he shall do my work; and he [Messiah] shall be great like unto him [Moses] whom I [Jehovah]
have said I would raise up unto you [Joseph], to deliver my people, O house of Israel, out of the
land of Egypt; for a seer will I raise up to deliver my people out of the land of Egypt; and
he shall be called Moses. And by this name
[2] he [Moses] shall know that he is
of thy [Joseph] house; for [because]
he [Moses] shall be nursed by the king's daughter, and shall be called her
son***.
(JST | Genesis 50:29)
|
9 And [1] he [Jesus] shall be
great like unto [2] Moses,
whom I have said I would raise up unto you [Joseph], to deliver my people, O house of
Israel.
10 And Moses will I raise up, to deliver thy people out of the land of Egypt.
(Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 3:9-10)
Moses was like unto Jesus or Jesus was like unto Moses: (1 Nephi 22:20-21; 3 Nephi 20:23;
Deut. 18:15; Moses 1:6; Act 3:22-26; Act 7:37; JS-H 1:40)
Follow this scriptural string and it does become obvious that it is Jesus Christ, the Messiah,
who this is comparing 'him' to and with Moses here and it is he of the prior three verses.
|
Jesus like unto Moses
Moses is of Joseph's house
For=Because he shall be nursed by the king's daughter
And shall be called her son
This implies that Egypt's King at this point [time of Moses] was a descendant of Joseph.
Thus there is such missing history. The intermarriage of the seed of Joseph with that
of Pharoah and that which would make the 'greater' sin of the 'Pharoah' or king of Egypt
that no longer knew Joseph, that is he has denied his own Hebrew heritage***.
*** See note at very end of this item where
Zecahariah 10:6-12 is discussed about Ephraim
and Eygpt's Septre.

Moses and Jesus Christ Are Likened unto Each Other
The scriptures consistently compare Jesus and Moses, who are thus likened unto each other. The list
of other such scriptures from all of the standard works stand as witnesses to that matter. Those who
are anxious to find evidence of Joseph Smith at every turn, have basically reduced Jehovah's—who
acts in the name and in the stead of the Father—blessings unto Joseph down to his
future descendant Joseph Smith, the latter day prophet and seer of the restoration. And even though
they must include Moses, for he is referenced by name, they fail to even take note that Moses is
another member of the 'branches of Joseph.' They are missing all but Joseph Smith as to whose
blessings and promises are given to Joseph of Ebypt according to his Patriarchal Line of the
birthright covenant.
Joseph's promises and blessings just do not jump from Joseph of Egypt all the way down to Joseph of
New York, they extend to the whole line from Joseph of Egpt according to his Patriarchal Order
responsibilities just as much as they also did and do extend to Abraham, who was also of the line
of the Patriarchal Father. Those blessing of Joseph of Egypt, brought Israel into Egypt to secure
there temporal salvation does further extend to Moses who delivers them from the eventual captivity
of Egypt. And thus Moses is of the Patriarchal lineage from Joseph who deliver's Israel.
And they do also include Jesus Christ, who is the central Patriarchal Father and descendant of
Joseph of Egypt as well, whose is mention and whose descrition many but slide on past and also put
that upon Joseph Smith. Named last in the post-flood era of the Patriarchal father by whom the
promises of the fathers have remained is named Joseph (D&C 27:10). The scriptures do name Joseph
in that promise preseaving order of the Patriarchs, and though Ephraim may well have been righteous,
it does not seem that it is to him who is looked to as the last great promises preserving Patriarch.
It even seems that Ephraim's children may not have remained in the Patriarchal Order, though
through him the right to the priesthood did continue just as it did from that root or stem of Jesse
who is that Ephrathite/Ephraimite named in the scriptures (1 Samuel 17:12).
And let it be said, that, "Great are the promises and blessing of Joseph of Egypt, for they are
those that are of the fathers and beyond." Speak to Joseph when Joseph and his son came unto Jacob
to be blessed by him, Jacob said of and unto Joseph the following:
"In delivering my people, thy brethren, from famine which was sore in the land;
wherefore the God of thy fathers shall bless thee [Joseph], and the fruit of thy loins, that they
shall be blessed above thy brethren, and above thy father's house;"
~ JST | Genesis 48:9
And unto Joseph in his Patriarchal Blessing contained in Genesis 49, Jacob did just following
stating that, "From thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel." Jacob further stated:
"Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall
bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the
breasts, and of the womb:
"The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost
bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of
him that was separate from his brethren."
~ Old Testament | Genesis 49:25-26
And these blessing concern a number of the 'branches of Joseph' even extending to such as the
blessings of the nations of the world and Israel, unto every nation, kindred, tongue, and
people, which is the work of the LDS Chruch. The fact is that Joseph's promised blessing to his seed,
are all those to those who have been and are now positioned to deliver Israel and take the Gospel of
Jesus Christ to the world from generation to generation.
So where and what are all these blessings of the progenitors of Jacob that have prevailed, that
are "on the crown of the head of him that was separated from his brethren" even Joseph of Egypt?
Well one would expect that they would be mentioned to Joseph in that which Jehovah did relate to him
as contained in JST Genesis 50 and partly also contained in 2 Nephi 3 where they are reinterated.
Now how was Moses the heir of the house of Joseph and of the promised seed of the promised
blessing of the priesthood through Ephraim? Well as cited in JST Genesis 50:29 and as marked
highlighted there in yellow, Moses, because he was the adopted son of the daughter of the King,
it was to be understood that he was of Joseph's house. Again hid from the known histories and
revealed scriptures of the earth except for this brief statement, it does seem that an heir,
son of Ephraim, did marry into Pharoah's house and then he or his son did become king. And the
only righteous son of the house of Joseph and Ephraim at that particular time of Moses, what
that Prince of Egypt, even Moses, who was the adopted son of the king's daughter. Either that
or the king's daughter's husband was of such heir of Ephraim himself.
Now Moses, though my adoption, was the righteous heir of the priesthood of the birthright as
being son of the house of Joseph. But there was none righteous of his family to bestow it
upon him though it was his right. We know that Moses' father-in-law ordained him to the high
priesthood, but as to the Keys of the Gathering held by the Father's of the Partriarchal order,
it must be presume that it could have likely been one such Father on back to and even possibly
even being such as Noah.
And here another question may well be resolved. When upon Mount Sinai, when the children of
Israel had degenerated unto worshipping the calf of gold, Jehovah made an offer to Moses.
He offered Moses that in his wrath, he would destroy all of the children of Israel he had
brought out of Egypt and make his covenant with Moses. Now how could that be? Mose was but
a Levite, and not of the birthright lineage of the firstborn Patriarchs. At least that was
what was known to be according to the Jewish Bible. Was God stating to Moses that he was
ready to expell Joseph and Ephraim from the 'program?' NOT! God could make that offer to
Moses honestly because Moses was the adopted son of the house of Joseph and Joseph's
son Ephraim and by that right of righteousness, he had right to the priesthood, right to
the Keys, and the right to carry forth the promises of the Fathers as a son of Ephraim
and Joseph. All these added little tweaks could be placed and built upon as separate items.
But there are just so many that are coming forth, that this investigative text must end
soon, so they won't be. But thus is the body of evidence that support that Messiah ben
Joseph and Messiah ben David are but one and the same Messiah.
One last Note: It would seem that Moses was very clear on the proper succession of the priesthood
authority and right, for he kept Hosea or Joshua at his side, the son of Nun, the next heir of the
house of Joseph, as righteous son born unto the direct line of Joseph whose right it was. Moses even
changed the name of the son of Nun to be that of Jehoshua, mean Jehovah Delivers/Redeems/Saves. If
the priesthood birthright was not to be kept in the house of Joseph, why did Moses pick Joshua to
be the next prophet and leader of Israel. By this time Israel was stuck in an Aaronic or Levite
lesser priesthood base on animal sacrifice
For now back to the other disclaimer of a branch of Joseph not being that of the Messiah, which
we had jumped over and passed by to yield Moses' full identity as being of the house of Joseph.
|
25. And it shall come to pass that they shall be
scattered again; and a [3]
branch shall be broken off, and shall be carried into
a far country; nevertheless they shall be remembered in the covenants of
the Lord, when the Messiah cometh; for he shall be made
manifest unto them in the latter days, in the Spirit of power; and
shall bring them out of darkness into light; out of
hidden darkness, and out of captivity unto freedom.
(JST | Genesis 50:25)
This is speaking of the Kingdom of Israel/Ephraim, who Moses delivered out of Egpyt and the Lord did
cause them to be scattered into the nations of the earth. And from such as Europe were they variously
broken off.
|
5 "Wherefore, Joseph truly saw our day. And he obtained a promise of the Lord, that
out of the fruit of his loins the Lord God would
raise up a [3] righteous branch unto the house of
Israel; not the Messiah, but
a branch which was to be broken off, nevertheless, to be remembered in the covenants
of the Lord that the Messiah should be made manifest unto them in the latter days, in the
spirit of power, unto the bringing of them out of darkness unto light—yea, out of hidden darkness
and out of captivity unto freedom." (Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 3:5)
Lehi devotes one sentence to his group here. Yet
they were spoken of by Joseph as well as the
Book of Mormon elsewhere states.
|
[3] Latter-day [LDS] Branch
1. fruit of his [Joseph] loins
2. righteous branch of house of Joseph of the house of Israel
3. ~ not the Messiah branch ~
4. a branch was broken off
5. Messiah should be made made manifest unto them in the latter days.
This would be 'the branch' from which Joseph Smith would descend from. But
from D&C 113:5-6, it would appear that a number of them would come by way of
being of Joseph through Jesse, and then lineally back through Ephraim and
of the house of Joseph.
|
Now, his particular 'banch' of the house of Joseph that was scattered in about 721 B.C.
was scattered into the nations with a remnant of Joseph/Ephraim being 'driven into the
northern European countries and even into England. From thence that have been variously
'broken off' and transversed the wall or ocean to the Americas, the land of promise
reserved unto Joseph/Ephraim/Manasseh and his Companions. Nephi saw this in vision as
a part of the 'tree of life - vision of all' portion which was revealed unto Nephi.
It is not the Lehi/Ishmael/Mulek branch. As it had been spoken of by Lehi and Nephi
elsewhere so often, Lehi did not include it in his blessing upon his son Joseph but
for one single sentence at the beginning of 2 Nephi 3:5. And then Lehi continues by
speaking of that latter day branch 'scattered' and 'broken off' as parallel he scriptures
of JST Genesis 50:35 and 2 Nephi 3:5 does reveal. In truth this could be number as many
such branches of exploration and migration to the Americas, but as to those to whom
the Messiah would come and manifest himself unto, it does center in what may be
considered the 'LDS Branch' the [3] third such brach of Joseph
so far denoted out of Joseph's promises and blessings by the Lord.
And of course, again, the Messiah was not to descend from this scattered branch either
as identified in that so revealed by Lehi's paraphrased account. What is of some interest
here is that neither the Joseph Smith Translation or the Book of Mormon rendition by
Lehi gives what must have been a much fuller listing of thise promises and blessing as
given to Joseph by the Lord Perhaps in each case for some same and some separate reasons.
One reason why Joseph Smith would not have either given or be allow to have given a fuller account
would be that the Lord still desired for various portions of it to remain 'hid' from the world.
For what such reason the Lord would know, but it does fit the pattern of keeping hidden various
things before their due time of the Lord as was the 'vision of all' give to the brother of Jared.
And one reason why Lehi would not have further reference them all in his blessing to his son
Joseph may have been simply that they did not fit his purpose as related in giving his son a
blessing to have just perhaps copied over the whole of what was in the plates of brass concering it.
Here comparing JST verse 25 and Lehi verse five, certainly there are differences of
inclusions and exclusions in both records. Yet when one considers that both such versions
are neither the complete version but authorized abridged version of the Lord's promises to Joseph,
it may begin to be considered that Joseph of Egypt also had such a visionary experience of seeing
such as did Nephi and as such as must Lehi also have seen out of the vision of Life.
This concludes this 'sub-topic' of this item in which we have been building up to the 'BIG' question
and herein so far only setting a foundational base for which to set it upon. Hopefully the Climax
will not be of a disappointment in comparison. But it is and will be what it is.

What About the Prophecy of Jesus to Joseph?
If the Lord did reveal unto Joseph concerning the 'branches' of his tree, what if anything has been
said concerning Jesus Christ come from Joseph? First of all, YES, there is three such secific verses
both in the JST version and the Lehi version that speaks to the branch of Jesus from Joseph. That is
the good news. And we shall cover then and discuss them.
The precautionary note is that nothing ever seems to be what one expects it to be. That is, it is
wnat it is. And it is that for various reasons. First much has been kept "hid with Christ in God."
That is God, the Lord, reveals unto man just that which he wants to reveal unto man and not according
to man's demanded expectations or time table, but according to God's purposes and in the own due
time of the Lord.
This seems true concerning what is given in the three verses concerning Jesus coming forth as a
branch of Joseph. For some possible obvious reasons, God just does not what it yet to be generally
known and understood. Some authors in the past have speculated upon the matter and set it out as
such according to their degree of understanding. This in truth can not pretend to be anything more
than that, though this text has given well over 100 variously accumulated evidences to the fact.
And for their own specific purposes there is an opposition to such an idea to come forth. The Jews
indeed want it only considered that the Messiah, whether he be 'their' Messiah ben Joseph or their
Messiah ben David, is of the Jewish would and of the Jewish understanding. And the grand Messiah
ben David, who they do still not accept as a suffering Messiah, is only considered of them to be
of the blood of the Tribe of Judah. And they interpret their own such patriarchal blessing from
Jacob given to Judah in Genesis 49, as they prescribe it to be the case. And they resent any other
who presents it deferrently from them. After all the Bible has come of the Jews. And they should
know their own Bible.
And then again traditional Christianity has their own set of century old standards of blief that
they just oppose any one to set them any appart from. And though they usually fail to give the Jews
any thanks from it, they too as far as the Old Testament is concerned very set in many of those
old tranditonal matters as well. And since none such can agree to any modern new scripture, they
are stuck with what they have got.
Even among the LDS faithful there are hardly any who would dare to step from such accepted traditional
belief as has been set in the church, even if they those that are of the traditional Christians belief
it the matter as well. You see there is just so much "new wine that you can put in those old bottles'
and expect them not to burst. So the process is slow there even for that which may be able to be
proven true other than that of 'newly authorized revealation' form the centeral core general authorities.
And that is good. Because that for the most part keeps it on the Lord's time table so to speak.
But what is the Lord's time table? The Lord state search the scriptures. Come to understanding the
mysteries of God. For in the scriptures the search is for Etenal life. And the scriptures do testify
of Christ. And this is life eternal, to come to know thee, God the Father of Spirits and Jesus Christ
the Son who the Father hath sent. So on that basis, one might considered they are to be 'burned' on
the one hand if they don't and damned on the other hand if they don't seek after a knowledge of
understanding these things.
With that said, perhaps you will understand a bit concerning what is contained in those three verses.
Oh one other thing. Joseph's brothers never did appreciate Joseph's being chosen before them. They
resented and hated him enough to kill him, and when Reuben forbid that design, under Judah's
suggestion, they sold brother Joseph into slavery, which some considered to be worse than death. There
is no real evidence that they ever fully warmed up to accepting Joseph at face value. When Jacob died
they feared their brother Joseph would them take revenge upon them. And I don't know than any of
them fully considered, understood or knew that the Messiah was going to come from Joseph. And they
is even with Joseph third dream directly stating it concerning the rotten fruit of the brothers and
the preseved fruit of Joseph who was to be the Messiah come from Joseph (coverd in another item).
Thus set your expectations accordingly. Joseph or even the Lord may not have put it before the
brothers so openingly. Whether it was so openly kept in the plates of brass record of Joseph is
not fully known, but the three parallel record verse may lend to some hint of that answer. At any
rate, here we go and they three columnar form will be used here. One for the JST, one for Lehi,
and one for immediate comments and annotation.
26. A seer shall the Lord my God raise up, who shall be a
[1] choice seer unto the fruit of my loins [specifically to the fruit of Joseph's loins, being of his
seed]. (JST | Genesis 50:26)
[One of the promised blessing of the everlasting covenant of Abraham, held by Joseph of Egypt,
was that of being the ancestor to the blessed Messiah.]
|
6 For Joseph truly testified, saying: A seer shall the Lord my God raise up, who shall be
a [1] choice
seer unto the fruit of my loins.
(Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 3:6)
[Jehovah our Ministering God (the Firstborn spirit son of Elohim the Father of Spirits)
was going to condescend to come to earth born of Mary as Son of God (Elohim), to be the
our Savior.]
|
Messiah
The Lord my God (Jehovah) speaking as and in the stead of Elohi from the perspective of Jehovah's
'divine investiture' given him by Elohim, the Father to do so:
And thus he speaks of himself in third person not as 'Jesus' the Son of God who is God
to be of Joseph's loins, but naming himself as a 'choice seer' to avoid conflicts, confusion and
contention according to the lesser understanding of ancient Israel.
|
A Choice Seer, Even Jesus Christ
From Lehi's persective of the plates of brass study, he states that 'Joseph himself did testify
unto these words. Under that presumption, one might consider just how candid Joseph would have
been in sharing with his brothers who still had feels toward Joseph of varying degrees, particularly
Judah, who Joseph aparently never did have a full reconciliation with. Those of the tribe of Judah
seem to have followed after what might be considered the position of Judah, that He was to be
the ancestor of the Messiah. Thus this tone an extent of shared information maybe consistent with
that still simmering contention.
Joseph did speak the truth, Jesus was indeed a 'choice seer' beholding all things before him and as
such he would be heir to the keys, both as a righteous Patriach of the Patriarchal Order and as
one who would receive and hold the keys of that calling as received upon the mount of
transfiguration. And yes Joseph Smith was a 'seer' also, and so entitled to the keys as well.
There are those who have led the Church in their teaching that this 'choice seer' of verses JST
26-27 and Lehi 6-8 are to be joined unto the later separated verses of Lehi 14-16 and JST 33 that
do decidedly for sure speak of none other than Joseph Smith. They have meagerly only attributed to
the Lord's promises to our Patriarchal Leader and Father Joseph to have only brought forth Joseph
Smith as his seed for the purposes and design of providing for Israel and Israels companions since
the time Joseph ruled in Egypt. This meager and myopic position IS NOT that taken here.
Rather than meagerly limit our Patriarch Joseph of Egypt to just producing Joseph Smith, it is the
stance and position of this text that, in fulfilment of Joseph's Patriarchal duties, his lineage
has produced all of the standing despensation heads from his time on out of his promised lienage
just as they would also have been of Jacob, Isaac and Abraham before him as so stated by D&C 27:10.
Through adoption both Moses and Jesus Christ were of the house and lineage of Joseph of Egypt, the
rightful Patriarchal Order ancestor of them and that earthly ancestral lineage by which justified
their receiving of the so such controlled priesthood and keys.
Joseph's promises and blessing spoken by the Lord also consisted of his many scattered branches and
remnants which have further been brought by the hand of God to the land of promise of Joseph as set
out throughout the Book of Mormon. These are also spoken of the deliniated in Joseph's promises
spoken to him by the Lord. Cerainly the 'promises' have remained in and through Joseph just as they
were by Jacob, Isaac, and Abraham. And this spoken promises are evidenced by a full and correct
understanding of JST Genesis 50 and 2 Nephi 3 and also as further taught variously in he Book of
Mormon, which is the stick of Joseph.
"And also with Joseph and Jacob, and Isaac, and Abraham, your fathers,
by whom the promises remain;"
~ Doctrine and Covenants | Section 27:10, (5-14)
It is just not that certainly 'promises' were pealed off from each of these in line hierarchal
Patriarchs of the Patriarchal Order, such as given the Messiah promise to Judah from Jacob that
it did not fall to Joseph. It is that the promises did remain in tach down from generation to
generation in tach in and through each Patriarchal heir of the coveant right of the firstborn
birthright. Isaac inherited all such that was of Abraham from Abraham, Jacob inherited all such
that was of Isaac from Isaac, and Joseph inherited all such that was of Jacob from Jacob. The
single right of ancestry to the Messiah through the rightful Patriarchal Order lineage WAS NOT
pealed off from Jacob so that it did not righteousl and rightful descend through Joseph.
What did happen, which brought the blood of Judah into the veins of the Messiah, was that
magnanimous surrogate performance of Boaz that he performed in raising not only seed up unto
the dead but also that the inheritance of the dead should remain upon the head of Obed as the
first born son of Ruth who was so raised up unto the house of Mahlon and Elimelech who were
the heir Ephrathites/Ephraimites of the promised birthright covenant of the firstborn. This
text has pointed that out in more detail in various other items as well.
|
27. Thus saith the Lord God of my fathers unto me, A
[1] choice seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins, and he shall be esteemed
highly among the fruit of thy loins; and unto him will I give commandment that he shall do a work
for the fruit of thy loins, his brethren.
(JST | Genesis 50:27)
[Again, imagine Joseph anoucing to his brothes
that Jehovah told him he was going to be Jehovah's
father, and then trying to explain to his brothers
of ancient Israel that their God Jehovah is to be the
coming Messiah, the Son of God and a descendant son
of Joseph of Egypt.]
|
7 Yea, Joseph truly said: Thus saith the Lord unto me: A [1] choice seer will I raise up out of the
fruit of thy loins; and he shall be esteemed highly among the fruit of thy loins. And unto him will
I give commandment that he shall do a work for the fruit of thy loins, his brethren, which shall be
of great worth unto them, even to the bringing of them to the knowledge of the covenants which I
have made with thy fathers.
(Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 3:7)
[Though true, what audacity it would
have been for Joseph to have stated to his
brothers that he was going to be the father
of God.]
|
Messiah
Jehovah speaking in the stead of the Father, refers to himself in third person
as 'a [1] choice seer' (the Messiah) descendant of Joseph/Ephraim.
Hid in the Palm (shadow) of His hand (Isaiah 49:2):
In the majority of the cases in the Old Testament it is always Jehovah
who is speaking, even when he is speaking in the stead of the Father as though
he is the Father. And in such cases when he speaks as God the Father, he
speaks of himself in the third person.
["This Egyptian God thing is entered
into Joseph and he is deranged!"]
|
How could Joseph have ever explained to his brothers that he was going to be a Father of God?
Is it any wonder that Joseph did share with them that he was going to be the 'choice seer's'
ancestor, who was Christ, in a way that did not make himself to have gone crazy with this
Egyptian man-god doctine as the Egyptians had corrupted it? It was wisdom in Joseph and in
the Lord that this thing remained "hid with Christ in God." And so well hid, that even the
Latter-day Saints due to their being founded in Traditional Christianity, would miss it as
well.
But we need not remain in that darkened condition. Any personal ego aside, Joseph of Egypt,
our Patriarchal Father of the Patriarchal Order held that right of the covenant of the
Firstborn as a part of the Patriarchal Birthright to be the ancestor of the promised
Messiah to come out of that very Patriarchal Order by right. And that the right to the
priesthood and its keys may rightfully fall to Him not only by the Order of Heaven, but
also by the Patriarchal Order of earth throught the those Patriarchal Fathers lineally
through all such who were righteous and had received them from father to son from the
beginning, even down and through all the worthy Patriarchs and their descendants by
right even to the Messiah himself to fulfill all righteousness.
Judah was not the hier, nor was he the faithful Patriarch whose right it was to be
ancestor to the Messiah. Only in the magnanimous performance of one man did any
consideration of Judah come in. And it came in as to further "hid Christ in God" from
the world and the Jews that they, by their total lack of understanding, would reject
and crucify the God of Israel.
|
28. And he shall bring them to the knowledge of the covenants which I have made with thy fathers;
and he shall do whatsoever work I shall command him.
(JST | Genesis 50:28)
[Without the Spirit of Revelation,
the matter of the 'Godhead' is a
confusing mind game played by designing men.]
|
8 And I will give unto him a commandment that he shall do none other work, save the work which I
shall command him. And I will make him great in mine eyes; for he shall do my work.
(Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 3:8)
|
Messiah
The God of Israel, Jehovah, speaks as the Father and of himself in third
person. Hidding the Messiah, who is also he who is The Son - the redeemer.
This occurs a number of times when Jehovah stands in the stead of the Father
and speaks of himself in his later roll as Jesus the Messiah in the third person.
|
The standard LDS take on these three verses, of the JST Genesis 50 and 2 Nephi 3, is that they are
speaking of Joseph Smith. Yet beyond that, Christ is Messiah ben Joseph, and there are some hints
that theses oddly set apart versed are not speaking of Joseph Smith.
1) They are three set apart
verses from the later verses concerning Joseph Smith, so why are they divided from each other
if they concern but one person and not two separate persons as well? 2) If one studies the original
1830 edition of the Book of Mormon the later Joseph Smith sentence structuring has been changed
by Orson Pratt's scripturalization of the Book of Mormon text into numbered verses and shorted
chapters from the paragraph style of the original book. And in doing so, even in today's Book of
Mormon are the versed corrupted rendering has obscured a well formed bookend classical chiasmus
prophetical stand alone testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith. 3) In the JST, that information
through the 'wisdom' of Joseph Smith is no longer in that prophetic classical 'Jewish' chiasmus
form, for indeed Joseph Smith knew nothing of such prophetice style as held in ancient Israel.
4) If one accepts these many other evidences then it ought to be expected to be here to find
verse that do speak of the coming of the Messiah from Joseph, even if so candidly spoken. And
actually it is. 5) Why go to the bother of stating which of the branches of Joseph are 'not the
Messiah' if you are not going to logically follow up some statement about which branch of Joseph
is that of the Messiah?
Given these and likely other reasons, the objective mind ought to at least that the time of an
honest effort to determine the matter. Or will we be given that we are to persist and
continue in or ignoring and possible if not likely ignorance of the Patriarchal Order of the
rightful descent of Jesus Christ? Here we will continue to further discuss the matter of the idea
that Jesus is Messiah ben David as well as Messiah ben Joseph and thus one in the same Messiah.
And that until one authorized to speak for the Church call me to repentance and tells me it is
not true and that to remain in good standing in the Lord's Church I am to stop. And then I would
for sure stop and withdraw the matter, as the Church is certainly that of God's one true Church.

Bonus Coverage of Joseph Smith's Chiasmus Prophecy
Now here in covering the Lord's promise(s) to Joseph, three (3) branches of the Patriarch
Joseph of Egypt, the last functioning Patriarch of the Patriarchal Order, have been
identifed. In order first mentioned about 1) Jesus Christ the Messiah Branch, 2) Moses the
Deliver of Israel from Egypt Branch, 3) The [LDS] Branch of Joseph's remnant out the the
nations into which the house of Joseph was scattered, broken off, and brought over the wall
of the ocean unto the promised land of Joseph, America.
Also covered in the Book of Mormon and in one sentence alluded to here, is the Lehi/Ishmael/Mulek
Branch of Joseph. This would be the fourth 4) branch of Joseph of those promised branches of
Joseph. And it does not seem complete but to further cover the fifth branch. 5) The branch tha
most readers and students of the Book of Mormon seem to limit the promised branches as being
in JST Genesis 50 and 2 Nephi 3, that the Lord promised unto Joseph being that of Joseph Smith.
Joseph Smith, A Seer
Now, in their order, Joseph has introduced the descent of the
notable Patriarchs who are next to come from the Patriarchal blessings of the fathers. He has
spoken of Jesus Christ and of Moses who likened unto Christ, who is to 'father,' gatherer, and
deliver of Israel out of that bondage that they have fallen into in Egypt. From father Lehi's
perspective that Moses had aready come and been noted, he leaves Moses out for the time being.
Further from that persective of Moses gathering Israel and bringing them forth to their land of
promise, the next considerations of the branches of Joseph chronologically comes to those
who are to become scattered. And thus also they are so covered as a latter-day 'branch' of
Joseph broken off from 'scattered Israel' and brought to that land of promise unto Joseph.
So when does Joseph begin to speak of Joseph Smith? That is in the JST verse 30 and Lehi's rendering
in verse 11. And the verbal 'dividing' from that spoken of and presented before is noticabel in
those connecting conjunction which basically state, 'and yet again." That is those that say, 'But,
And again.' That is, "And again, a [5] seer will I raise up out of the
fruit of thy loins;". And this time it is that individual branch of Joseph that is the latter-day
Patriarch of the Restoration, Joseph Smith, who is also of the fruit of the lions of Joseph.
So now, after speaking of those other four (4) branches, three specifically spoken of and Lehi's
group alluded to, even including those so scattered promised descendants of Joseph of Egypt as being
that 'Righteous Branch' of the latter days which comes from the Gentiles of Europe, and which also
includes all such portions of those scattered still remaining in Europe as further 'branch(es).' And
of that 'prophet' of Joseph's house who was Moses come to 'gather Israel out of Egypt and unto their
land of promise;' and also speaking of the Blessed Messiah, who is the promised seed of the
everylasting covenant birthright, which Joseph of Egypt held as to the preserved blessings of the
fathers (D&C 27:10); we come to 'But—And again' a seer who is Joseph Smith, the
promised seer of Joseph's seed who would be the prophet of the restoration in the latter days.
These are they of the promise of the Patriarchal Order of Patriarchs, Adam, Noah, Abraham, Joseph,
Moses, Jesus, and Joseph Smith. That is 'Seven Heads' and positioned leaders of the Lord's people
from Adam to Joseph Smith that are of the same Patriarchal Order who have taken the responsiblity
for the Lord's people under their wings and provided for them. For some reason it reminds one of
the seven lamps or candlestick of the Menorah as also seen of John in Revelation.
It would seem, and most certainly is, that every holder of those earthly rightfully passed down
keys of the priesthood of the everlasting covenant, needed to be of the 'seed' of the everlasting
covenant birthright, that is of the Partriarchal Order. Those who were the latter day 'heirs' of
that priesthood, including Joseph Smith and even others of the gospel restoration membership were
proclaimed heirs of that higher priesthood pertaining to the priesthood keys. Elias who restored the
keys of the gospel and covenant of Abraham, which some identify as Noah, the same as Gabriel,
certainly would hold right to those fathers' held keys.
It has even pointed out where Moses did get his such covenant bound keys. And that it was
according to his being the adoptive son of Ephraim as here is explained that he came to
hold the keys of the gathering of Israel, which he passed on to Joseph Smith in the Kirtland
Temple? And of course Elijah was but a the righteous prophet of the kingdom of Ephraim who once
considered himself but the last of the worthy priesthood holders in the kingdom and the potential
patriachs except that Israel stood not worthy. And it was he that passed to Joseph the keys of the
sealing and binding powers of heaven which he did carry.
And then, there is the matter of Jesus Christ. Certainly as the Son of God and as Jehovah the
God of the Old Testament, it was indeed his priesthood and right under heaven to those very
keys and priesthood. He was and is second only to the Father of Heaven, Adam being next after
him in the Heavenly Order. Yet what of him in the earthly order of the Patriarchs after the fall.
Thus recall, even he descended below all things in order to fulfill all righteousness he did humbly
submit to being baptized of John, not for the remission of sin, for he was without sin. But he did
conform to all the earthly laws of God of the Jews is all of there their performance as well so
instituted of and by himself as Jehovah, by him acting in the stead of the Father, thus foreshadowing
himself. And so also would not one suspect that in the matter of the right to the earthly descent of
the priesthood according to the everlasting covenant preserved by the birthright decent even the
very Patriarchal Order; that he, even Christ, would so conform to the earthly bound requirement to be
the 'seed' of the birthright covenant in order to the be earthly heir of the priesthood and the right
to the keys of the Patriarchs of the Patriarchal Order, in order to fulfill all righteousness?
And so he was that legal and lawful heir of Joseph as well.
And so it was. All these, including Joseph Smith, who was to be the latter-day holder of the keys
of the birthright covenant; they all had there descent from the birthright lineage of Joseph the
son of Jacob, as further came by his birthright son Ephraim who Jacob had made his own. How else was
it to be that the Rod, the Branch of Isaiah 11 and D&C 113:1-4 to have been lineally a partly a
descendant of Jesse, as well as of Ephraim of the house of Joseph?
It said nothing there about the Branch and Rod, Who had come and grown out from the
stem of Jesse of who the first 5 verses of Isaiah 11 did speak, as being a descendant of the house
of Judah. That is because according to the Laws of God as set forth by Moses, it was Obed, Jesse,
David and even Jesus that were not legally or rightfully of the house of Judah according to the
birthright everlasting covenant. Boaz had but been the willing maternally related surrogate
performing kinsman who by Mahlon's wife Ruth, did raise up seed unto the dead house of Mahlon,
Elimelech and Naomi. Obed was that son of that house that did not leave Naomi barren and sonless.
And Obed was raised up to be the seed of the house of Mahlon, Elimelech and even Chilion, who were
Ephrathites meaning Ephraimites of the tribe of Israel and of that legal right and lineage of the
birthright everlasting covenant of that priesthood of God. Jesse was the son of Obed. Obed was the
son of Mahlon. Mahlon was the son of Elimelech. And Elimelech would have been the heir of Jehosuha
or Joshua, the son of Nun. And he was the heir of Ephraim by the hand of Moses, who was also so
adopted into the house of Joseph. And thenc Joseph and of Jacob and of Isaac and of Abraham, and
even thence down from the fathers from Adam to Noah to Abraham had the Covenant Birthright of the
Firstborn of the Patriarchal Order come. And considering Melchizedek to be the same as Shem, it is
by and from him that Abraham had gained his right unto the birthright everlasting covenant of the
fathers which included the ancestry to the promised Blessed Messiah.

30. And again, a [5] seer
will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins, and unto him will I give power to bring forth my
word unto the seed of thy loins; and not to the bringing forth of my word only, saith the Lord, but
to the convincing them of my word, which shall have already gone forth [bible & early Christian
Church] among them in the last days;
(JST | Genesis 50:30)
[JST verse 31 / Lehi verse 12 speaks of the of the Stick
of Joseph, represented by the Book of Mormon, of which Mormon was the
primary compiler, abridger and writer. The verse also includes the Stick of
Judah and how the two sticks come together as one to confound the contentions of
the false doctrines to bring the people to the knowledge of the truth.]

11 But a [5] seer
will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins; and unto him will I give power to
bring forth my word unto the seed of thy loins—and not to the bringing forth my word only, saith
the Lord, but to the convincing them of my word, which shall have already gone forth among them.
(Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 3:11)
[Of interest, Joseph Smith Jr. was the chosen heir of the keys of the priesthood,
including being that Chosen Patriarch of the Patriarchal Order descended from Joseph of Egypt
to stand over the people of the Lord of the latter-days. Yet in honor of his own father,
Joseph Smith Sr., he blessed him to be the Patriarch of the Church, who would give Patriarchal
blessings to the members of the Church.]
|
But—And again When it comes time to raise up Joseph Smith in the latter-day,
God, the Lord Jehovah, acting in the stead of the Father, and often speaking as the Father and
refering to himself in the third person—thus when it comes time to raise up Joseph Smith,
he has already brought up other seers, namely Moses who wrote and witnessed the contents of
the 5 books of Moses, and also Jesus Christ as well as so set out above. Thus it is 'But—And
Again when it comes to raising up Joseph Smith because it has been done before a number
of times. And they all have been counted as the seed of Joseph whose blessing by the word of
God, Jehovah, this is. Thus, now this is Joseph Smith of the latter-days

32. And out of weakness shall he be made strong, in that day when my work shall go forth among all
my people, which shall restore them, who are of the house of Israel, in the last days.
(JST | Genesis 50:32)

33. And that seer will I bless, and they that seek to destroy him shall be confounded; for this
promise I give unto you; for I will remember you from generation to generation; and his name shall
be called Joseph, and it shall be after the name of his father; and he shall be like unto you; for
the thing which the Lord shall bring forth by his hand shall bring my people unto salvation.

14 And thus prophesied Joseph, saying: Behold, that seer will the Lord bless; and they that seek
to destroy him shall be confounded; for this promise, which I have obtained of the Lord, of the
fruit of my loins, shall be fulfilled. Behold, I am sure of the fulfilling of this promise;
15 And his name shall be called after me; and it shall be after the name of his father. And he
shall be like unto me; for the thing, which the Lord shall bring forth by his hand, by the power
of the Lord shall bring my people unto salvation.

Further speaking of Joseph Smith.
In Chiasmic verse in Book of Mormon from the plates of brass
as presented is set off with two bookends of a beginning
'quote' of 'And thus prophesied Joseph, saying:' to an
ending 'quote' of 'Yea, thus prophesied Joseph.' Muddled
perhaps by the original printers and further by Orson
Pratts scriptural verse divisions and even the latter-day
version's such arrangements; the Chiasm as likely either
copied from the plates of brass or recited and remembered
by those of the seed of Lehi, is to be found.

A Chiasmic Thought Bookended By "Quotes"
(Quote ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Unquote)
Altered by the hand of Orson Pratt when the Book of Mormon was divided
into scriptural verses and re-chaptered (see below),
the first phrase of verse 16 was originally a part of the bookending setoff
which pointedly emphasized the following, now verse 14 and 15 and the first
phrase of 16, to be a clear, revealing, concise and precise chiasmic
thought statement (see chiasmic analysis) quoted
from Joseph of Egypt concerning that Joseeph, that is Joseph Smith, who
was to rise from his seed in the latter days.

And Thus Prophesied Joseph Saying:
"Behold, that seer will the Lord bless [and] by that power, of the
Lord, [he] shall bring my people unto salvation."
"And they that seek to destroy him shall be confounded [by]
that [Book of Mormon] the Lord shall bring forth by his hand."
"For this promise, which I have obtained of the Lord, 'He shall be like unto
me'."
"Of the fruit of my loins, his name shall be after me and after the name of
his father [Joseph]."
"[It] shall be fulfilled, [Be] sure of the fulfilling of this promise."
"Behold I AM [saith]."
Yea, Thus Prophesied Joseph.

As to specific person branch, the Joseph Smith branch is the fifth (5th) such branch
identified by the JST Genesis 50 and 2 Nephi 3. Certainly as the promises of the Patriarchs of
the Patriarchal Order great. Again this Patriarchal connection is a testimony in and of itself
that is it Joseph who is the legal and rightful ancestor to the Messiah.
But before we leave this item, rather than making another item, as there are a number of such
separate evidence within his current item that to testify that Messiah ben Joseph and Messiah
ben David are on and the same and the same Messiah Jesus Christ; there is one more item wished
to be named here. Uniquely one of the names of Jesus Christ has been 'encoded' in the name of
'THE BRANCH.' Among such scriptures as found in Isaiah 11:1, Zechariah in a couple of chapters
and elsewhere, Jesus is called by the name of 'Branch.' It is just not that of irony that Jesus
is so called. It is because Jesus literally is one of the 'Branches' of Joseph the son of Jacob.
In fact Jesus stand in the center of the Menorah and the greatest light and most important
Branch of the standing Patriarchs of the earth According to the Patriarchal Order. A number of
those Patriarchal candidates would include Adam, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Jesus Christ
and Joseph Smith. Again ironically that numbers 7. Whether these are the 7 Menorah Patriarchs
or not, I am not the one that is to authoritatively say, I may but suggest which Father Heads
of the Lord's people are.

In the original Book of
Mormon, the whole of what is now chapter 3 of 2 Nephi was but one
continuous paragraph of related thought, Lehi blessing his son
Joseph. The section below is only what is considered the critical
relative portion of that 'chapter' paragraph.

"... And thus prophesied Joseph, saying: Behold, that seer will
the Lord bless; and they that seek to destroy him, shall be confounded; for
this promise, which I have obtained of the Lord, of the fruit of thy loins,
shall be fulfilled. Behold, I am sure of the fulfilling of this promise. And
his name shall be called after me; and it shall be after the name of his
father. And he shall be like unto me; for the thing which the Lord shall
bring forth by his hand, by the power of the Lord shall bring my people unto
salvation; yea, thus prophesied Joseph. I am sure of this
thing, even as I am sure of the promise of Moses: for the Lord hath said unto
me, I will preserve thy seed forever. ..."

Orson Pratt was given a difficult task to perform.
Dividing a text differently from what it was, can change meaning. To the
best of his ability and understanding Orson Pratt did this and his
insights are great and contribute much by his supplied division, but
it was subject to error.

14 And thus prophesied Joseph, saying: Behold, that seer will

me, I will preserve thy seed for ever.

Even though today's Book of Mormon strives
to be as 'correct' as possible, it remains the result of a
compilation. Originally it was not divided into the chapters and
verses that exists today, This process of dividing into verses and
chapters can inadvertently alter meaning and intent.

Verses 14-15"+" is one item of the
prophecies of Joseph, 'bookended' by, 'And thus prophesied
Joseph, saying:' and 'yea, thus prophesied
Joseph.' This
'bookending' sets off this prophecy of Joseph distinctively from what
is next testified to by Lehi, in the first person.

me [Lehi], I will preserve thy seed forever.

For the want of a period in place of a semicolon, for the want of a capital
letter for a lowercase letter, for the want of colon in place of a period,
for the want removing a single phrase from the end of one sentence and to
the beginning of the next sentence and then to place a 'verse' division
between the two sentences; is the testimony of Lehi lost and the proper
understanding of who the writer (Mormon) and spokesman (Moroni) are. What
difference do the errors of compilation make?
*Lehi speaks of himself and bears a marvelous
testimony which is lost under Elder Pratt's sentence altering division.
Lehi testifies that he is as sure of the coming of the seer Joseph Smith in
the future as he is of the coming of Moses who had come in fulfillment of
prophecy in the past. This is a testimony given in the 'prophetic perfect'
tense. This is the 'thing' to which Lehi bears testimony, the 'thing' which
he had carefully 'bookended' between the statements of, 'And thus prophesied
Joseph, saying: ... ; yea, thus prophesied Joseph.'. This is
the 'thing' to which Lehi wanted to relate and convey that he was testifying
to. Nephi had picked it up and so did the original printing of the 1830's
Book of Mormon. That marvelous testimony of knowing as sure as knowing of
a past established event that a future event will occur is a powerful
testimony. Just as sure as Lehi knew that Moses had fulfilled his part of the
prophecies of Joseph by those events in Lehi's past, Lehi knew that Joseph
Smith would come in the future to fulfill that additional part of the
prophecies of Joseph. This marvelously strong testimony is lost due
to Elder Orson Pratt's inadvertent division. Here it is restored to
understanding.
*** Some say that there is no other evidence that would suggest that the king or pharoah of
at this time was was Isralite, or Ephraimite. And they do not accept the reading of what this verse
says about Moses being recognized as the seed of Joseph, because Moses is the son of the
daughter of the king (JST 50:29). Show us some other evidence, if there be any they demand.
Even if given, all such is relative to acceptance of such evidence. All that can be done is
to present the additional evidence that might be beyond the single straight forward statement.
This evidence is not easy to come by. Generally there is no acceptable evidence to many that
Israel was ever enslaved in Egypt to begin with. And the Jewish Bible does not dwell upon Ephraim or
the immediate children of Ephraim is not given in any great detail. Still there are some clues, which
seem to be stated in a way that presumes the reader must alreay know of which they speak. Thus it is
inferring of there being missing of deleted other records concerning Ephraim were once had.
Here just maybe such other evidence from the record of Zechariah:
"And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph,
and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though
I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.
"And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and
their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart
shall rejoice in the LORD.
"I will hiss for them [Book of Mormon?], and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall
increase as they have increased.
"And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember
me in far countries [England~America~etc?]; and they shall
live with their children, and turn again.
"I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt,
and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place
shall not be found for them.
"And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the
deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down,
and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away.
"And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the
LORD."
~ Old Testament | Zechariah 10:6-12
Now Joseph and Ephraim seem to often come to the top of a society, as do those of Israel. Joseph
is a prime example in Egypt, Daniel is a prime example in Babylon and Esther is a prime example as
well. Ephraim had an association with Syria. And when it came to handling the captives of Ephraim
and of the ten tribes, it may well be that some of those of Ephraim were called upon by the
Assyrians to help rule and govern Israel of the kingdom of Ephraim, for so it was spoken of and so
it was, and so it would be in the dealings of the captives with their 'masters.' Some or someone of
Ephraim may well have risen to some position of importance in the Assyrian Empire.
That said, what is of interest here is that it states that, 'the Lord would bring Ephraim again also
out of the land of Egypt.' Now Egypt is in the opposite direct than is Egypt. How did a group of
Ephraimites become a part of Egypt so that the Lord would come to gather Ephraim from out of Egypt
again? Without giving a list of some people's prefered assumptions, consider what is next stated
concerning Egypt as not having been here associated with Ephraim. It states, "and the sceptre of
Egypt shall depart away." That is just after alluding to the pride of Assyria shall be brought down.
In Zechariah's day Assyria was long destroyed, but Ephraim's pride of having an associated with
Assyria may the issue. And in considering that Moses was to be known as Joseph's seed, because he
as the son of the daughter of the king in Egypt, then the two statements concerning Ephraim being
gathered 'again' out of Egypt and that the septre shall depart away; there is some possible
corobrative evidence here there was some of Ephraim left in Egypt and the ruling Septre of Egypt
was involved.
With the meager information concerning Ephraim's posterity in the Jewish compiled Bible, even this
littel tid-bit seem significant. Like the Nephites of Ammonihah, who were surprised that there was
as second witness besides Just Alma when Amulek also stood to preach to the people, it is also of
a surprise that the Lord would speak of Ephraim having to still again be gathered out of Egypt and
in association with the Septre of Egypt.
