Crossman Family Links to Wrong Hender Family
[Another Ancestry Source's Obvious Error]Free Correct Connection by Don R. Hender
"Grandpa teases that he is still 29 years old. Biologically that is not possible I would hope
you should realize.
Your biological mother or father cannot be your same age, little alone being younger than you are."
A close examination of the proposed tree chart above quickly exposes the
incorrect connection being linked to the Crossman - Hender marriage of James Crossman and Grace
Hender and their family. The ages of the 'pretended' parental sourced Hender family to the
Crossman family who migrated to New Jersey from England is destroyed as the charted family link
presents.
On the pedigree chart James Crossman and Grace Hender are given the life dates of (1823-1903) and
(1822-1911) respectively when compared to the life dates of Ann Brookes and Thomas Hender of
(1822-1852) and (1819-1876) respectively. These dates standout as an impossibility. A biological
mother and daughter cannot both be given birthdates of 1822. The mother should be some 20 years or
more that their children and NOT the same age of them. Note: the other children of Ann Brookes are
appropriately dated to be her children stating with a Sarah Ann Hender of birth at 1844, 22 years
after the her mother's birth age of 1822. That fits. But Grace Hender's birthdate given DOES NOT.
Yet one cannot, should not leave the Crossman family genealogically stranded. A corrected ancestral
family will be supplied in answer to this wrong connection. It is not good to 'critique only.' Good
form is to supply the correction as to not leave them disconnected. So what now follows is a
detailed breakdown of the correct St. Neot family that does connect to the Crossman family.
First a simple predigree will set out the known family of being the correct Thomas and Ann Hender,
father and mother of the correct Grace Hender who married James Crossman.
