CHAPTER 6
Sons of God marry daughters of men—Men turn to wickedness; earth is
filled with violence; all flesh is corrupted—The flood
promised—God establishes his covenant with Noah, who builds an ark to
save his family and divers living things.

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the asons of God saw the
daughters of mena that they
were fair; and they btook
them cwives of all which they chose.
3 And the LORD said, My aspirit
shall not always bstrive with man, for that he also
is cflesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and
twenty years.
4 There were agiants in the earth in
those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the
daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same
became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
|
2a daughters of men This is
not to say that men are of God and women are not. Rather what is happening
here is that the sons of the covenant are taking themselves wives who are
not of the covenant. That is, they are daughters of families that are not
of the righteous covenant people of God. Thus corruption enters in when
those who are of the covenant with God, remove themselves from being still in
the covenant by marrying outside of the covenant or as we would say it today,
outside of the church or outside of the temple.

5 ¶ And GOD saw that the
awickedness of man was great in the earth, and
that bevery imagination of the
cthoughts of his dheart was only
eevil continually.
6 And it arepented the LORD that he
had made man on the earth, and it bgrieved him at his heart.
7 And the LORD said, I will adestroy
man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and
the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have
made them.
8 But Noah found agrace in the eyes
of the LORD.

11 The earth also was acorrupt
before God, and the earth was filled with bviolence.
12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was
corrupt; for all aflesh had corrupted his
bway upon the earth.
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh
is come before me; for the earth is filled with
aviolencea
through them; and, behold, I will bdestroy them
cwith the earth.

13a The end of all flesh is come before
me; for the earth is filled with violence Now what is the worry
of 'violence' before our eyes continually? We hear it said, 'It was not that
bad of a movie, there was no sex or nudity. It was just rated 'R' for
violence. But this is the mark when men have become fully rippened unto
inequity and destruction. When the 'great secret' has gotten such a hold upon
the hearts of men that they do murder continually. Violence to get gain, to
war and plunder as was the nature of such wickedness which marks the coming
end of men unto destruction. It is by man's peacable walk with his fellow man
that God desires men to be. And violence and all the violence of such games,
and movies and which is ever growing in the world will be unto the destruction
of men again. Yea, that is the true secret of Satan's 'great secret' and he
does lead men into the blindness thereof, stating it is unto them to get gain.
For it is not unto them to get gain, but it is given unto them of Satan that
they may be destroyed when rippened in their wickedness and violence.

14 ¶ Make thee an aark of
gopher wood; brooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt
pitch it within and without with pitch.
15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt
make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred
cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty
cubits.
16 A awindow shalt thou make to the
ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt
thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third
stories shalt thou make it.

  17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a
aflood of bwaters upon the earth, to
destroy all flesh, wherein is the cbreath of life,
from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall
die.
18 But with thee will I establish
amy bcovenant; and thou shalt come into
the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
My Covenant
This covenant is the covenant which was from the beginning, from before
the very foundation of the earth. It is the covenant of the Messiah, the
Plan of Redemption as set forth in the councels of heaven before the world
was. It is the Everlasting Covenant, the Fulness of the Gospel of Christ.
While this has become obscure in the Jewish presured text, it is made clear
in the Inspired Translation which restores much of that which has been taken
from the books of Moses (See
Moses 1:41 and
comparative text).

19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.

21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten,
and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for
afood for thee, and for them.
  22 Thus adid
bNoah; according to all that God
ccommanded him, so did he.
