In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Hender of the Parish of Altarnun in the County of Cornwall Yeoman being in Health, and of a sound and perfect Mind and Memory (praised be god thereof) Do hereby revoke all former Wills by one at any time heretofore made And I Do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament as followeth. First I recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator and my Body to Christian Buriall.

I Give unto my Beloved Wife Ebbett Hender the use Wearing and enjoyment of my best Feather Bed performed of one brass Pott, one brass Pann One Iron Kettle three Peroter Dishes and Six Peroter Plates during the term of her Natural life. And I further Give unto my said wife the Sum of Two Pounds and two Shillings to be paid within one Month after my Decease.

I Give unto my daughter in Law Grace Hender the Sum of one Pound and one Shilling to be Paid her within one month after my decease

I Give unto my Granddaughter Elizabeth Hender the Sum of Twenty five Pounds.

I Give unto my Grand daughter Mary Hender the Sum of Twenty five Pounds which said Legacys I will that my Executor hereinafter named pay unto my said two Grand Children when they shall respectively attain the Age of Twenty One years and I hereby charge my Lands called Coumbes Tenement situate and lying in Tregrennow within the Parish of Altarnun with the Payment of the Same.

Also I Give unto Elizabeth Venning the Daughter of George Venning the Bant within the said Parish of Alternun the Sum of five Pounds to be Paid her within One year after my Decease.

Also I give Devise and Bequeath unto Edward Hewish of Cheriton Fritzpaine in the County of Devon Esqr. Willaim Baron of Egloskerry in the County of Cornwall Esqr. and John Wyvill of Lewannick in the said County of Cornwall Yeoman their Heirs Excrs and Admors one Annuity or yearly rent Charge of two Pounds of Lawfull Money of great Brittain to be issuing and payable out of my said Lands called Coumbes Tenement in Tregrennow aforesaid Yearly for and during so many Years as my Daughter Elizabeth now the Wife of John Venning shall Live the first Payment thereof by Quarterly Payments to be made and begin on the next Quarterly day of Payment which shall first happen after my decease but in trust nevertheless for the Sole and Separate Use Benefitt and Behalf of my said daughter Elizabeth Exclusive of her Husband who is to have nothing to do therewith during so long Time as she shall Live And it is my Will that the said Annuity shall be paid out of my said Land unto the said Edward Hewish, William Baron and John Wyvill or one of them their Heirs Excrs or Admors for the Purposes aforesaid and no other and who are to deliver the same into the hands of the said Elizabeth and whose Receipt is to be their discharge free and Clear of all Rates, Taxes, and all other Charges and Incumbrances whatsoever already or hereafter to be laid upon or imposed on the said Annuity And that the said Edward Hewish, William Baron, and John Wyvill their Heirs Excurs and Admors in case of non Payment of the said Annuity as the same shall become due shall have Power to enter on the said Lands and sell and dispose of such Distressasion Cases of Distress taken for rent and shall also if no Distress is to be found on the said Lands in twenty days Enter and hold and enjoy the said Lands untill Payment of the said Annuity all Arrears thereof and Costs necessity attending the same be fully cleared and paid up

Also I Give and Devise unto my Grandsonn William Hender the Fee Simple and Inheritance of all that my Messuage and Tenement situate and lying in Trween within the said Parish of Altarnun which I lately purchased of Uler Down and John Rowe And all other my Messuages Lands Tenements Itereditaments and Premises whatsoever with the Appurtenances situate and lying in Treween aforesaid To have and to hold all and singular the said Premises with their and every of their Appurtenances unto my said Grandson William Hender his Heirs And Assigns forever.

I Also Give unto my said Grandson William Hender the Sum of Thirty Pounds which said Sum I will that my Executor hereafter named pay unto my said Grandson when he shall attain the Age of Twenty One Years And Thereby charge my Lands called Coumbes Tenement in Tregrennow aforesaid with the Payment of the same.

Also I Give and Devise unto my Grandson Thomas Hender The fee Simple and Inheritance of all that my Messuage and Tenament called Coumbes Tenements situate and lying in Tregrennow within the Parish of Altarnun and every Part and Parcell thereof with its Appurenances To hold the same unto my said Grandson Thomas Hender his Heirs and Assigns forever On Condition nevertheless that my said Grandson Thomas Hender do and shall permit and Suffer my said Wife Ebbett Hender to live in some convenient part of the dwelling house belonging to Coumbes Tenement aforesaid as long as she shall think proper

All the rest of my Goods Chattles rights and Creditts not before hereby given and Bequeathed I do hereby Give devise and Bequeath the same unto my said Grandson Thomas Hender whom I do hereby make and Appoint whole and Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament

And I do hereby Nominate Constitute and Appoint the before mentioned Edward Hewish, William Baron, and John Wyvill to be rulers and Executors in Trust of this my last Will and Testament during the Minority of my said Grandson Thomas Hender and for the due Execution of this my Will I impower them to sell and dispose of my Stock and Goods and set my Estates for such Term of Years as they shall think proper and that they shall not be accountable for any Loss they may sustain in manageing the Trust hereby in them reposed but shall be allowed and repaid all necessary Expences incured in the Discharge of the Trust In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seal this twenty fifth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty seven.

The before written Will of the above named Thomas Hender deced was proved Common form 17th July 1767 before the Revd. James Walker Clk Bachelor of Law Offical etc. And Admion of the Goods etc of the said Deced with the sd. Will annexed was granted to William Baron Esq. & John Wyvill two of the Exr in Trust named in the said Will during the Minority of Thomas Hender the Grandson of the sd. decd Presurving a power of granting the like Admion to Edward Hewish Esquire the other of the Exr in Trust named in the sd. Will whowoever he shall think fit to take the same upon himself being first sworn etc Saving etc. Sum Total of __________ 360 Pounds 2.2
