The following is the Will of Christopher Moone, yeoman of Liskeard, 1657: Proved 1658:

The eighteenth daie of March 1657
In the name of God Amen I Christopher Moone of the parish of Liskeard in the Countie of Cornwall
yeoman though at this time weake in bodie yet ---? thanks be given to God perfect and sound in mind
& memorie doe now by the grace of God make and ordaine this my Last will & testament in manner and
forme following
First I bequeath my soule to Almightie God my maker And my bodie to christian Buriall

I give and bequeath to the poore of the Parish of Liskeard tenne shillings
Item I give to my daughter Anne Steed three pounds Lawfull English monie to be paid five years after
my decease.
Item I give to my sonne Cornelius Moone twelve pence [pounds]
Item I give to my daughter Dorothy Moone threescore pounds Lawfull English monie to be paid when she
shall accomplish the Age of one and twentie years
Item I give to Phillip Moone my sonne One hundred Pounds Lawful English monie To be paid when he shall
accomplish the age of one and twentie years.
Item I give to my daughter Mary Moone Threescore Pounds Lawfull English monie to be paid when she shall
accomplish the Age of one and twentie years.
Item I give to my grandchild John Steed one Ewe and Lamb.
Item all the rest of my goods & Chattles I give & bequeath to Anne Moone my wife and her I make and
ordaine my whole and sole Executor of this my Last will and testament

This will was Proved at London The Two and twentieth daie of June One thousand Six hundred Fiftie
Eight Before the Judges for probate of wills and granting Administracons Lawfullie authorized By the oath
of Anne the Relict and sole Executrix named therein. To whom was granted Administracon of all and
singular the goods Chattels and debts of the said deceased. She being by Commission first sworne trulie to
