'MYHERITAGE' Online BUNK!!!One of today's most falicious disruptive sources of supposed Genealogical 'DIS-INFORMATION' is the "Quick and Dirty" online 'dis-services' of false genealogical information that is being 'SPEWED' upon the public, supposedly as 'reputable' information, which IT IS NOT. Rather it is noting but GARBAGE generated by money grabbing 'I couldn't care less fly by night malpracticing source of falsehoods and totally misleading 'garbage in—garbage out' generated near but wrong fits without any solid genealogical research based LIES and WRONG genealogical ties! They don't even deseaved to be thought of a leads for they are nothing but time consuming TRASH and the biggest wrench in the works of legitimate genealogical effort that could possibly spewed out upon an unsuspecting public. The 'quick and dirty and absolutely WRONG artist' are not in the business to properly put to gether legitimate ancestral ties! The are nothing but 'money grabbing' mis-facilitators that will ruin your true ancestral roots! And 'WARNINGS' must abound to alert unsuspecting inocents of their 'deadly effects' upon your ancestral histories. That is if you are truly after the true of your family and not just into having a pedigree to display on your mantle regardless of whether it is right or DEAD WRONG!!! Of course these 'providers' of all this 'mis-information' [it is but garbage lies], often do put 'disclaimers' out. But they have not consideration of ever being held accoutable and even less concerned about ever getting it right. If they did they would lose too much of their business they are generating by their stacks of bogus and fraudulant genealogies. And, WELL, it is time to 'put up or shut up'. So I prefer to 'put up'. Now I can't take time to expose everyone of them, as there are just too many of these groups who 'careless,' and they are 'careless' in what they provide, so 'sorry' (but not too sorry for they deserve it), but I have to pick on someone. Today it is "myheritage.com" but you could most likely select any number of other such organizations and have just as much to find erroneously listed on those sites as well!

[NOTE: Quick - Dirty -Shoddy Genealogy abounds on the internet. It is full of errors from anything and anywhere. Don't believe it. Take it for what it is, which is often not much. It can hurt and confound your ancestry. Quick and dirty listings use christening dates as 'birth dates'. It makes them WRONG. They use 'rummaged' information from any source. William Hender was of Altarnun, there you find his christening/baptism of 9 April 1788. The ERROR of Callington leads you astray. Elizabeth was NOT 7 years older than William. Their death/burial sets that straight. Their info gives Elizabeth Rowe the WRONG parents. Using 'ballpark' 'nearfit' connections is WRONG! Their information is incomplete. With so many legitimate sources, you better do YOUR HOMEWORK. DON'T RELY ON 'QUICK-DIRTY-SHODDY' dis-information. |
Thomas Rowe Hender: Christened/Baptism
3 October 1824 at Callington, Cornwall - son of William/Elizabeth Hender. William Hender: Christened/Baptism 9 April 1788, Altarnun, son of Thomas and Sarah Hender.
Elizabeth Rowe: "Of Callington" - parentage unconfirmed.
Thomas Rowe Hender has 6 siblings: Elizabeth Rowe Hender (1812-1816), Amelia Hender (1813-married
Richard Olver had 10 children), Louisa Hender (1815-1889 spinster), William Hender (1819-1821),
William Worth Hender (?1824?-1884 married Elizabeth Tresize/Trezise one child), John Hender (1827-1830) Thomas Rowe Hender, bachelor, married Mary Aina Trout, spinster, on 6 January 1844 at Register Office, Stoke Damerel, Devon, England. His reported age was 21 and she was reported as a 'minor'. Marianna Trout was Christened/Baptism at St. Martins, Looe, Cornwall on 3 November 1825 and she dies and was buried 21 February 1893/5. Thomas Rowe Hender and Mary Aina Trout had 5 children: Philip Trout Hender (1844-1878) my great grandfather, Ellen Hender (1847-1904) married James Toms with a number of children, William Hender (1850- married Selina Toms had children, Thomas Hender (1852-1854), Harry Hender (1855-1858). Thomas Rowe Hender DID NOT DIE IN 1877 at age 54!!! This is 'quick-dirty-shoddy and erroneous' bunk! My 2nd Great Grandfather DID NOT DIE on my Great Grandfather's wedding day. That is where the year 1877 comes from. On the official certificate of Philip Trout Hender's marriage, his father 'Thomas Hender' is listed as being 'desceased'. Anyone but an idiot would know that this means that at some prior date, years even, Philip's father had died. The best that yields is that Thomas Hender died before that 1877 marriage date. Other circumstantial evidence suggests that he died before 1861, when his wife Mary has then married Robert Wynhall and is listed on the 1861 Census with her Hender children with Robert Wynhall as her next husband. Perhaps if you 'join and pay money', you will find out that source of the erroneous 1877 date was nothing but a note dislosing a passed 'decease' father some time prior note on a marriage certificate. But don't bet on that. They're not really concerned with that. I wouldn't pay to find out if they don't know their business because I already know that information and they are WRONG! |

'Quick and Dirty - Shoddly Done genealogy breds errors, lacks documentation and is a dis-service
to the world of family research. The 'ONLY' sure way of finding ones genealogy and
getting it correct is to get off of the damn world's fasted idiot (the computer) and do some
legitimate genealogy research. Not that you can not use the computer in that research process,
but YOU dam-better do your homework and stop relying on 'quick-dirty-shoddy' sources
of genealogy information. For more concerning the Hender families of Cornwall you are welcome to
take a look at my pages 'www.hunterscastle.com/henhis.htm', 'www.hunterscastle.com/cornish.htm',

do have substantial documentation for much of what I have posted and know to be true from the
detailed facts of the matter.
Think I'm nit-picking with just one example?
Thomas Hender was born on month day 1696, at birth place. Thomas married Elizabeth Hender (born Northey). Elizabeth was born in 1700, in Alternon, Cornwall, England. They had one son: John Hender. Thomas passed away on month day 1767, at age 71 at death place |
Thomas Hender's (?1696-1767) birth is an uncertain christening date of 1796 at
Altarnun. Will Elizabeth Northey's birth and parentage & birth is not known. They guess. Elizabeth [Northy] Hender died 1841 after which Thomas married 2nd the widow Ebbet (Ibbet) Edgcoumbe nee Skantellbury (1695-?) relict of Christopher Edgecoumbe and daughter of William Skantellbury and his wife Lovday. Thomas & Elizabeth had 6 known children: Thomas (1727/2-1743), Agnes/Ann (1730/1-1767), John (1732/3-1767), Edward (1735-1735), William (1736-1767 married Elizabeth Venning) and Elizabeth (1739-? married John Venning). |
Thomas Hender was born on month day 1755, at birth place, to John Hender and Grace Hender (born Luskey). John was born in 1733, in Altarnum, Cornwall, England. Grace was born on February 28 1730, in North Hill, Cornwall, England. Thomas had one brother: William Hender. Thomas married Sarah Hender (born Adams) on month day 1776, at age 21 at marriage place. Sarah was born in 1753, in Laneast, Cornwall, England. They had 3 children: Grace Hender and 2 other children. Thomas passed away on month day 1791, at age 36 at death place. |
Christening dates are used as birth dates.
Grace [Liskey/Luskey] Hender (baptism 28 Feb 1730) had a will. Thomas (1755c-1791 married Sarah Adams) had at least 3 siblings: William (1757c-1818 married Annabella Edgcombe), Elizabeth (1760c-1781) will, Mary (1765c-1783). Thomas and Sarah had 7 children: Elizabeth (1777-1796), Mary (1779 - married John Peter), Grace (1781 - married Richard Peter), Thomas (1783 - married Jenny Peter), John (1785 - married 2nd Jenney Garland nee Peter), William (1788 - 1848) married Elizabeth Rowe, Annabella (1790 - 1791). |
Thomas Edward Hender was born circa 1670, at birth place. Thomas married Agnes Ann Hender (born Hender [Evan]) on month day 1692, at age 22 at marriage place. Agnes was born circa 1674, in Altarnum, Cornwall. Thomas passed away on month day 1736, at age 66 at death place. |
Thomas/Edward Hender was of Altarnun according to his will,
which means that he was of the Parish of Altarnun and his baptism at Altarnun. Some try to make him the son of John Hender and Johane Daw of North Hill. But their son Thomad Hender married Mary Foot in North Hill and that marriage date and their children conflict with Thomas and Agnes Hender's children and dates. Other attempt to set his birth at 1670, again unlikely, as it seems that the family only had the two sons, Thomas and Edward, perhaps due to a later aged marriage than 22 years old. That he is named as father 'Edward' on his son's baptism seem to indicate that there was some confusion about the 'father's' name. And this leads to a subpossition that Thomas senior's father's name was Edward Hender. Thomas' will names his two sons, Thomas and Edward, and their living children at the time, Thomas's grandchildren: Thomas, John and Ann of Thomas and Elizabeth [Northy] Hender and Edward and Elizabeth of Edward and Elizabeth [Wadge] Hender. It also names Thomas' second wife Ebbet [Edgcomb nee Skantlebury] Hender who was the relict of Christopher Edgcomb. |
