Joseph Moon of High Clicker and Susanna Moon of Trewen/TreheerAs a part of the proof of this connection is the 1805 will of Robert Moon the son of Edward Moon and Jenny Morshead, wherein he references Joseph Moon of High Clicker as the father of his Nephew Charles Moon. Now Robert does not state that his nephew Charles Moon is the son of his sister Susanna Moon for she is at this time of this will deceased, and only Joseph Moon her husband is the living parent of Charles Moon the nephew of Robert.

Cousin Jane Moon of Treheer, wife of George Raby, has a strong relationship as cousin Charles Moon is found living with her family in East Looe in 1841, and when the family moves to 'Pool Hall' in Menheniot, Charles comes to stay with them even after the death George. Charles Moon is a part of the Jane [Moon] Raby family in 1851 & 1861 also —unmarried cousin Charles Moon, brother of Joseph Moon [Jr] of High Clicker. He associates with his mother Susanna Moon's neice Jane [Moon] Raby of Treheer. [1841, 51, 61-81 records] |
* The BT-Bishop's transcript is stated to have read 17 December 1790. Hopefully this will
not pop up and cause confusion at some time to invent two Joseph Moons of this one Joseph
Moon, son of Joseph Moon and Susanna Moon. ** Since Christian baptism dates of infants is not done on the date of birth but at some time after birth, it is hard to say what exactly occurred in this case. I may well be contributing evidence that Susanna's death was related to the state of her health in conjunction with the child birth of Charles, her last child before her death. Or is may not. Charles was not 'christened' until a month after his mother's death and burial.

John Rogers Moon and Elizabeth Moon Family of High ClickerIn the marriage of John Rogers Moon of High Clicker and Elizabeth Moon of Boduel South, we have another joining or rejoining of the separated lines of the Moon family. The Moon family of Boduel is married to that Theophilus Moon line of such as Landrest, Tempellow and Clicker and also as the earlier marriage of 'grandfather' Joseph Moon of High Clicker to Susanna Moon of Trewen/Trehere(Treheer), also that separate line of Cornelius Moon had been brought in together in the one resulting Moon family of High Clicker. Note: As for further details which the Civil records might add, the death certificate of Elizabeth Moon and that of any of the children, particularly Christiana and Mary E. Moon could be found and a certified copy order through the General Registry Office of England. At this point it is known that William was Christian baptism late at an adult age and the last two daughter's baptism are not found. It can only be imagined that the last three births of William in April 1846, Christiana in 1847 and finally Mary E [Elizabeth] in late 1848, did place a strain upon Elizabeth and whether as a part of the last child birth of subsequent rundown health conditions may have contributed to her death in November of 1848. As can be seen by the 1851 & 1871 census records at High Clicker, the family remained in tact and the last born girls lived to full adult age.

As an added NOTE of interest to some Moon family researchers ought to be the fact that on that same 1881 census, a son and daughter of John Rogers Moon of High Clicker and Elizabeth Moon of Boduel South, which John Rogers Moon is the son of Joseph Moon [Jr] of High Clicker and his first wife Christiana Deeble Rogers, have moved together and are now living at 'Bolitho', Charles Moon 37 and Christian Moon 33. He is there a Farmer employing 2 men and 2 boys. He likely becomes the start of the four generations of Moons who have ran the Bolitho Farm until this time and date today. It was John Rogers Moon of Joseph Moon [Jr]'s first marriage who became of High Clicker. And his second son Charles of his with Elizabeth Moon of Boduel South has done well at Bolitho and his posterity remains. Final note: in 1891 Charles Moon 47, son of John Rogers Moon, is at Bolitho with wife Sarah and two sons, Charles J. Moon 5 and George M. Moon 1. It appears likely from such parish records that Sarah is Sarah Mary Mason of Callington, daughter of John George Mason, Gentleman — to which marriage sister Christiana Moon was a listed witness. (George Mason Moon died at age 3, 21 Dec, 1892, res Menheniot, bur. Liskeard.)
