CHAPTER 12
In the millenial day all men shall praise the Lord—He shall dwell among them—Compare 2 Nephi 22. |
CHAPTER 22 In the millenial day all men shall praise the Lord—He shall dwell among them—Compare Isaiah 12. |
This Messianic chapter ties Jehovah directly to the Holy One of Israel, who is Jesus Christ, that 'God who is salvation' (Jehoshua). |
 1 aAnd bin that day
thou shalt say, O LORD, cI will praise thee: though thou
wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD aJEHOVAH is my bstrength and my song; he also is become my csalvation.
'El Yeshuath, I' The Book of Mormon states that all the holy prophets spoke and prophesied of Christ. When one understands that JEHOVAH of the Old Testament is the same as JESUS, it becomes clear that all the prophets so testified of Christ. |
1 aAnd in that day thou shalt
say: O Lord, I will praise thee; though thou wast angry with me thine anger
is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will atrust, and not be afraid; for the Lord bJEHOVAH is my cstrength and my dsong; he also has become my salvationa. 2a the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation The name JESUS is the Greek form of the Hebrew name JEHOSHUA or JOSHUA. They are the same name. And the name JEHOSHUA literally means 'JEHOVAH SALVATION', that is 'JEHOVAH is my salvation'. Thus this is the same as saying the JEHOVAH is JESUS. That is the God of the Old Testament who was known to be JEHOVAH is and would be the REDEEMING SAVIOR of the New Testament, even JESUS who is the same as JEHOSHUA or JOSHUA meaning JEHOVAH IS BECOME OUR SALVATION'.
