             CHAPTER 9

Jews shall be gathered in all their lands of promise—Atonement ransoms man from the fall—The bodies of the dead shall came forth from the grave, and their spirits from hell and from paradise—They shall be judged—Atonement saves from death, hell, the devil, and endless torment—The righteous to be saved in the kingdom of God—Penalties for sins set forth—The Holy One of Israel is the keeper of the gate. [Between 559 and 545 B.C.]

The Jews, which is a reference to all of Israel, shall be gathered in all their lands of promise—Christ's vicarious atonement does ransom man from the fall of Adam—the bodies of the dead will be resurrected and the spirits of men will come forth out of the Spirit World to be restored to their body—All shall be judged—The atonement redeems men from death of the grave, from the captivity of spirit prison, the devil and the 'endless torment'—The righteous well be saved in the kingdom of God—The penalties for sins not repented of is set forth—Jesus Christ is the keeper of the gate, the eternal judge of the House of Israel. [Between 559 and 545 B.C.]
1 AND now, my beloved brethren, I have read these things that ye might know concerning the acovenants of the Lord that he has covenanted with all the house of Israela
2 That he has spoken unto the Jews, by the mouth of his holy prophets, even from the beginning downa, from generation to generation, until the time comes that they shall be arestored to the true church and fold of God; when they shall be bgathered home to the clands of their inheritance, and shall be established in all their lands of promise.

Israel Means:
Israel means 'One who prevails with God'. Jacob, the son of Isaac who was the son of Abraham, sought after the Covenant of the Lord. And at one juncture he did strugle with Lord all one night, and he did prevail. And thus the Lord bestowed upon Jacob the name of Israel as Jacob had become 'One who had prevailed with God' unto the sealing of his salvation and exaltation. This is the meaning of the name and term Israel. Like Jacob any and all who do so prevail with God do also come under the name of Israel, that is the also become 'One who has prevailed with God'. This is the eternal meaning and perspective of the name Israel. It was a name given to all who did prevail with God from before the foundation of the world. Thus to be of the 'house of Israel' in the eternal perspective in not limited to being a literal son or daughter of Jacob. That is but a temporal condition. To be of the Covenant of God, to be a member of God's Covenant People is an eternal spiritual state and does apply to all whether or not they are of the literal seed of Jacob. Adam was a member of the house of Israel from this eternal perspective. All who ever has, do or will live upon this earth may become sons and daughters of 'Israel' if they do so prevail with God. 'Israel' is God's name for all who become his people of the covenant. Various of the descendants of Jacob will not so qualify because of their wickedness. Many of those who lived before Jacob and after Jacob who are not Jacob's literal descendants may and will become a part of God's eternal family and of the eternal house of Israel, Israel being God's term for all who so prevails with him in obtaining that perfection and oneness with the Father. Israel is larger that Jacob. It is but a name bestowed upon Jacob and it is a name that may and will bestowed upon all who so prevail with the Lord.
1a the covenants of the Lord that he has covenanted with all the house of Israel Before the Lord all is seen as one 'eternal now'. That is he sees and knows all from the beginning to the end. He sees it all together at once. And he has so seen all from before the foundation of the world. All was known unto him from the beginning. When one has such an eternal perspective, then what is of a limited perspective before the eyes of men becomes one eternal round in the eyes of the Lord. When it is spoken of 'the covenants of the Lord which he has covenanted with all of Israel', the limit scope of man might percieve that this speaks of but Jacob and his sons and those who are descendants of only them. But in the eternal perspective of the Lord, those who are and who will become 'Israel' is not so limited. Abraham was not born of Jacob, yet it is he through whom these covenants were preserved. John the Baptists speaks that the Lord can raise even of stones sons and daughters unto Abraham. The same can, from the eternal perspective, be said of Israel. In fact the brother of Jared, Mahorni Moriancumer saw the vision of all from the beginning to the end and the blessing of the whole earth, every nation kindred tongue and people from the beginning with Adam down to the last man who will dwell on this earth in the mortality of this second estate by the seed of Abraham, which is the same as the seed of Jacob or Israel. And he saw that 'Israel' became all who did 'prevail with the Lord' even from the beginning to the end by the hand of the seed of Jacob, the seed of Israel. And he saw that all who do come unto the Lord, whether literally born of Israel, that is Jacob, or not, could by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the covanant of God, can and will come to be numbered with the house of Israel. Israel was the name given to Jacob as the bearer of the covenant. But the name and concept of Israel had been from before the world was. It was a name of God and it applied to all who were counted to be God's people of the covenant, that is God's Covenant People. And as all the sons and daughters come unto the Lord and become a part of this covenant through the ordinances of the gospel and their obedience to the laws and principles therein, then all such do also become 'Israel', the 'Covenant People of the Lord'. Thus in an eternal perspective, all may become a part of the house of Israel, the house of those who have prevailed with the Lord unto salvation and exaltation. All who have ever lived may become 'Israel'.
2a even from the beginning down This 'beginning' is from the beginning of the world, from Adam on down. As just discussed, Israel and membership therein, is not just limited to those who are blood descendants of Jacob. Israel is all who become and are the Covenant People of the Lord. The name Israel is a name of that eternal perspective and membership which was given to Jacob as one who had prevailed with God and was a bearer of the covenant. Any and all who ever have, do or will so live upon this world, may also become a member of 'Israel', a member of God's Covenant People. They may become of the 'house of Israel', that is being one who has prevailed with God unto salvation and exaltation.

3 Behold, my beloved brethren, I speak unto you these things that ye may rejoice, and alift up your heads forever, because of the blessings which the Lord God shall bestow upon your children.
4 For I know that ye have searched much, many of you, to know of things to come; wherefore I know that ye know that our aflesh must waste away and die; nevertheless, in our bbodies we shall see Goda.

4a our flesh must waste away and die; nevertheless, in our bodies we shall see God Now the full mystery of the resurrection is not fully given or known. We know that the mortal elements of this mortal frame have been taken from the dust or element of this earth and the body does die and it does return to the dust. But from the grave of the earth will the body be raised up again. The 'program' within us which makes us what we are will bring again up bone and flesh will be brought upon it and the temporal physical frame will unit unto the spirit never to be separated again. That that resurrected body is so 'transfigured' into an higher frame which will be eternal and everlasting is sure. Thus it is not the same as the corruptable body but it does differ, for it will be incorruptable and eternal, indestructable to remain forever.  3a Ps. 24:7-10

5 Yea, I know that ye know that in the body he shall show himself unto those at Jerusalem, from whence we came; for it is expedient that it should be among them; for it behooveth the great aCreator that he bsuffereth himself to become csubject unto man in the flesh, and ddie for eall men, that all men might become subject unto him.
6 For as adeath hath passed upon all men, to fulfil the merciful bplan of the great Creator, there must needs be a power of cresurrection, and the resurrection must needs come unto man by reason of the dfall; and the fall came by reason of etransgression; and because man became fallen they were fcut off from the gpresence of the Lord.
7 Wherefore, it must needs be an ainfinite batonement—save it should be an infinite atonement this corruption could not put on incorruption. Wherefore, the cfirst judgment which came upon man must needs have dremained to an endless duration. And if so, this flesh must have laid down to rot and to crumble to its mother earth, to rise no more.

8 O the awisdom of God, his bmercy and cgrace! For behold, if the dflesh should rise no more our spirits must become subject to that angel who efell from before the presence of the Eternal God, and became the fdevil, to rise no more.
9 And our spirits must have become alike unto him, and we become devils, bangels to a cdevil, to be dshut out from the presence of our God, and to remain with the father of elies, in misery, like unto himself; yea, to that being who fbeguiled our first parentsa, who gtransformeth himself nigh unto an hangel of light, and istirreth up the children of men unto jsecret combinations of murder and all manner of secret works of darkness.

10 O how great the agoodness of our God, who prepareth a way for our bescape from the grasp of this awful monster; yea, that monster, cdeath and dhell, which I call the death of the body, and also the death of the spirit.
11 And because of the way of adeliverance of our God, the Holy One of Israel, this bdeath, of which I have spoken, which is the temporal, shall deliver up its dead; which death is the grave.
12 And this adeath of which I have spoken, which is the spiritual death, shall deliver up its dead; which spiritual death is bhell; wherefore, death and hell must cdeliver up their dead, and hell must deliver up its dcaptive espirits, and the grave must deliver up its captive fbodies, and the bodies and the gspirits of men will be hrestored one to the other; and it is by the power of the resurrection of the Holy One of Israel.

For on the other hand, the bparadise of God must deliver up the spirits of the righteous, and the grave deliver up the body of the righteous; and the spirit and the body is crestored to itself again, and all men become incorruptible, and dimmortal, and they are living souls, having a eperfect fknowledge like unto us in the flesh, save it be that our knowledge shall be perfect.
14 Wherefore, we shall have a aperfect bknowledge of all our cguilt, and our duncleanness, and our enakedness; and the righteous shall have a perfect knowledge of their enjoyment, and their frighteousness, being gclothed with hpurity, yea, even with the irobe of righteousness.

16 And assuredly, as the Lord liveth, for the Lord God hath spoken it, and it is his eternal aword, which cannot bpass away, that they who are righteous shall be righteous still, and they who are cfilthy shall be dfilthy still; wherefore, they who are filthy are the edevil and his angels; and they shall go away into feverlasting fire; prepared for them; and their gtorment is as a hlake of fire and brimstone, whose flame ascendeth up forever and ever and has no end.

To be learn is good if one first puts God and God's Counsel and Wisdom. Men who contrive of them own self to know out of their own innovation are but fools. The Ivory Tower of the Theories and Philosophies of men are an abomination before God and is but an avenue of walking in darkness before the knowledge and understanding of God. 42 And whoso aknocketh, to him will he open; and the bwise, and the learned, and they that are rich, who are puffed up because of their clearning, and their dwisdom, and their riches—yea, they are they whom he despisetha; and save they shall cast these things away, and consider themselves efools before God, and come down in the depths of fhumility, he will not open unto them.
43 But the things of the wise and the aprudent shall be bhid from them forever—yea, that happiness which is prepared for the saints.

42a the wise, and they learned, and they that are rich, who are puffed up because of their learning, and thier wisdom, and their riches yea, they are they whom he despiseth Now the Lord does not despise intelligence. It is the learning and the wisdom of men who do contrive things upon in their own minds, according to their own philosophies and to their own man made theories to the extent that they do look down upon, disregard and even seek to destory the truth of God. Men with all of their wisdom and learning are but scratching at the surface of the knowledge and understanding of God, yet they look to their own meger scratchings and contrive upon them, denying a greater intelligence that they themselves profess to be. Such is the pride and vanity of man. This is that which the Lord despiseth. They who do not stand in humility but who do stand forth professing to know that which they do not know. Pretending to be the seekers of truth and knowledge but denying the very source thereof.  42a TG Objective; TG Study

44 O, my beloved brethren, remember my words. Behold, I take off my garments, and I shake them before you; I pray the God of my salvation that he view me with his aall-searching eye; wherefore, ye shall know at the last day, when all men shall be judged of their works, that the God of Israel did witness that I bshook your iniquities from my soul, and that I stand with brightness before him, and am crid of your blood.
45 O, my beloved brethren, turn away from your sins; shake off the achains of him that would bind you fast; come unto that God who is the brock of your salvation.
46 Prepare your souls for that glorious day when ajustice shall be administered unto the righteous, even the day of bjudgment, that ye may not shrink with awful fear; that ye may not remember your awful cguilt in perfectness, and be constrained to exclaim: Holy, holy are thy judgments, O Lord God dAlmighty—but I know my guilt; I transgressed thy law, and my transgressions are mine; and the devil hath eobtained me, that I am a prey to his awful misery.

47 But behold, my brethren, is it expedient that I should awake you to an awful reality of these things? Would I harrow up your souls if your minds were pure? Would I be plain unto you according to the plainness of the truth if ye were freed from sin?
48 Behold, if ye were holy I would speak unto you of holiness; but as ye are not holy, and ye look upon me as a ateacher, it must needs be expedient that I bteach you the consequences of sin.
49 Behold, my soul abhorreth sin, and my heart adelighteth in righteousness; and I will bpraise the holy name of my God.

50 Come, my brethren, every one that athirsteth, come ye to the bwaters; and he that hath no cmoney, come buy and eat; yea, come buy wine and milk without money and without price.
51 Wherefore, do not spend money for that which is of no worth, nor your alabor for that which cannot bsatisfy. Hearken diligently unto me, and remember the words which I have spoken; and come unto the Holy One of Israel, and cfeast upon that which perisheth not, neither can be corrupted, and let your soul delight in fatness.
52 Behold, my beloved brethren, remember the words of your God; pray unto him continually by day, and give athanks unto his holy name by night. Let your hearts brejoice.
